  1. You’re being silly now. That clip was from a time where we had a team of quality attacking players for this level and were consistently knocking on the door of the top flight.
  2. Because football is much more family friendly and safe. And our game has an enormous multi-media (and global) presence. However, on the pitch if you think this Blackburn Rovers side is a patch on some of our 80s teams than you really are a troll.
  3. I made a point of looking at the players’ reactions at full time. No celebrations at all and certainly no huddle at a la Sheff Wed. Graham just stood alone on the half way line for about two minutes with his hands on his hips. About 3 players on their haunches and Downing and Bennett seemed to be having a row. You’d think we’d just lost and something certainly didn’t look right in the camp to me...
  4. The ground didn’t seem too thrilled at full time. Ive never known such a subdued crowd after a late win...
  5. That is exactly the issue. A year in League 1 and a lot of fans seem to think we are now a Rotherham or Barnsley. But it does neatly sum up the wrecking job this regime has embarked on this past decade.
  6. I’d have enjoyed Bolton in the fourth division, but for the good of our club, we need Stanley back down the food chain as soon as possible...
  7. Not even close to losing the majority of match going fans. I’ve never known such a Teflon manager.
  8. He’s still here and in with a chance for ANOTHER contract in January by the sounds of if. Another to add to the list of odd going’s on... ‘Ben Gladwin is also training with the squad again having not made a senior appearance for two years. The attacking midfielder saw his deal at the club extended through to January, with his future set to be reviewed again in the coming weeks. “Ben Gladwin has been back on the training pitch, looking strong, but he obviously needs some game-time having been out two years, said Mowbray.”
  9. Outside London I forsee empty grounds. That could kill it off more than anything as it won't be a good look for free to air TV...
  10. He finally gave the game away (if we didn't know already), when he said Fulham was the 'best possible first away game we could ask for'.
  11. Have a read of your post again and have a think, as if you honestly don’t think you often come across as juvenile then there’s not a lot else to be said.
  12. Think we’ll win. TM usually does pull out a win or two when it’s looking desperate, a brief respite before another horror run. Definitely no excuse if Darragh ‘Paul McGrath’ Lenihan is back.
  13. A load of primary age kids in Hyndburn will be these days..
  14. I’m not saying they are a bad idea, I’m saying they don’t sell well at this club.
  15. Brentford will be, doubt they’ll bring more than 300 on a Wednesday night.
  16. These 3/6 game ticket bundles have never, ever sold more than the hundreds, even when doing well. So of course, a bundle when we are doing poorly, with one of them a night match is never going to sell. Quite scary how little of a clue he has re our fanbase and demographic.
  17. Exactly what they'll do and it will exclude a load of folk.. A lot of those tempted may be 'dad and his lad'. Or exiled Lancastrians back up north for Christmas etc. So just slash prices... but they won't.
  18. So there will be a Wigan offer. But I imagine it will be some convoluted set up instead of £15 anywhere and £1 a kid etc.
  19. Let’s see who gets the gig. Paul Yates on the Fans Jury has always bern realistic. If he ends up in situ and starts banging on about TM needing a winter break to the Maldives, then obviously these writers are being leaned on editorially..
  20. I’m not quoting anything, I gave an example of a well kept ground. Fair enough if the shit tip that is Ewood doesn’t bother you.
  21. Seems like you’re the one with a chip on your shoulder about them...
  22. Sorry? Did you read the post? No obsession, it’s the example I have, I imagine there will be a plethora of owners/management with pride in their football clubs that don’t let their ground fall into disrepair.
  23. I’ve said this before but I used to go to the gym built into the away end at Deepdale. I lost count of the times I saw workmen around the ground jet washing, touching up the surfaces with fresh paint etc.
  24. Was it 2010 when we played them in a youth cup game at Ewood? Night match, well advertised and from memory a crowd of 10,000 turned up, including a fair few of them. The club actually promoting and cherishing one of England’s top derbies, imagine that.
  25. Years of neglect. From my seat in the Blackburn End I can see layer upon layer of grime across the stands.
