  1. I presumed you were hypothesising about a potentially fully recovered Dack, as let’s be honest there’s a good chance he’ll never be the same again and we’ll be lucky to get 500k.
  2. Bet Everton wish they’d have carried on paying that rent at Anfield...
  3. Always a good atmosphere on a match day. Though I personally think its latest renovation has made it too generic a sports bar with a load of the Rovers memorabilia/photos that once adorned the walls etc stripped out.
  4. Depends on how close to his contract expiry it is, though this 12 month extension to 2022 would give us some wiggle room.
  5. Selling Dack for a Gallagher-esque fee (and considerably less than BB’s) would show up the folly of our recent transfer policy.
  6. They started to turn against Barnsley as we were slipping towards the relegation zone. We then went on a mini charge and it dissipated. As long as we are ‘3/4/5/6/7 points from the play offs‘ and not in much danger of going down I don’t foresee the Ewood crowd turning again.
  7. It’s all done for mutual back-slapping and retweets from that particular Twitter sub section of Rovers fans, which I suppose is vital if you want your articles read in a digital age. Nice way to throw a largely very supportive fanbase under the bus though...
  8. Amazing how quick this sold out, I’m sure the Jansen event took a few days to sell and he was always more of a legend in my eyes...
  9. Nice one Tom, another week of Rovers fans being categorised as ‘horrible boo boys’, though he’s had excellent support from the vast majority of fans... https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18140138.a-poisoned-chalice-currently-ben-brereton-rovers/ Oh and work out what a ‘poisoned chalice ‘ means before you try and use it in an article!
  10. Does anyone On here actually think he is close to the sack? Just wishful thinking from what I can see. Of course Venky's aren’t skint, but FFP not an issue then?
  11. Prior to Fosun coming in Wolves’ usual home gate was around 18/19,000, ‘big city club’ indeed. If we decide that we can’t compete with standard Championship clubs then let’s get back down to League 1 and be done with it.
  12. What I often read on social media is that Mowbray has ‘united the fans with the club’, ‘transformed the club’ and so on. Perhaps in a season when we charged to promotion in a piss poor league it felt like that. Winning game after game does wonders for morale of any football fan and club. We’ve since comfortably slotted back into being the mediocre Championship outfit we’ve largely been since 2012 and whilst that certainly hasn’t led to the toxic Ewood atmosphere we saw under Coyle, it isn’t exactly bouncing. For me, pre the run of decent results between Mid November and Mid December (and we will soon see again as we slip into mid table obscurity), the club just feels stagnant like in the late Bowyer era... some transformation.
  13. Interesting on that video he seems to have some upper body strength, holding off defenders etc. Something else that seems to have disappeared from his game...
  14. Sorry, I always get those two confused for some reason!
  15. I saw a tweet from Linz Lewis (the ginger ninja badges lady) who said he had his head in his hands on the bench, think the crying thing is a bit of Chinese whispers that nicely starts a narrative against ‘horrible Rovers fans’ that a certain sub section on Twitter seem to revel in. He’s been here 18 months and has largely been shown a lot of patience considering how utterly dreadful he’s been.
  16. I’m pretty sure that was the process last season... difference being they were flying then and it wasn’t just after Christmas so the upper tier went in no time...
  17. If they are more worried about Gallagher I presume that’s because they still believe he is salvageable? As ,well, what else can be said about the whole BB debacle?
  18. Absolutely no chance he’s sacked. None. So I’m not getting worked up about it. Always a chance he walks though, but why would he when he is so deeply entrenched with real authority and no real prospect of a similar level job? We’ve no choice but to hope with the festive period out of the way he stops fecking about with half a team of changes every game and he stumbles back on that winning formula from just 2 weeks ago. As always, the buck stops with the owners that allow such dysfunction to take root year after year after year.
  19. Only difference being back then we were owned by locals of modest means, butchers, bakers and candlestick makers doing their bit for their club and community. Certainly not comparable to being owned by a billionaire conglomerate .
  20. Our bowlers can’t bowl anywhere apart from English seaming pitches with cloudy skies.
  21. It was around the mid to late 2000s they had it.
  22. ‘Slow build’ is always a nonsense in this league. It is far too fast moving and fluid with club’s gambling on promotion with a big turn over of playing staff. A ‘slow build’ needs those gamble signings to actually come off and thus able to replace those dropping off at the other end - I.e Gallagher/Breteton for Danny Graham. That’s before seemingly having all FFP avoidance eggs in the basket of selling off one player (now sidelined and diminishing in value by the month) to offset. But as they are gambles, they are just as likely to be expensive mistakes, hamstringing the club in an FFP world, that then has to sell off its assets, a fall down the table (or leagues) and the cycle begins again.
  23. Silverwood is currently head coach and bowling coach, a lot on the plate for one guy, especially with a piss poor captain.
  24. If TM went today and a new fella led us to wins over Forest and Preston, the ‘just get behind the manager, who else we gonna get?’ crew would be stating with absolute conviction that it was ‘time for a change’ and ‘Mowbray had taken us as far as he could’. So take it all with a pinch of salt.
