I've been lucky enough to watch most of this years IPL, fantastic tournament that attracts the best players from around the world, although the cattle trading before the tournament starts leaves a bad taste in the mouth, but hey ho..... But I just wanted to single out Rasid Khan the young Afghan spinner, batter and exceptional fielder, the mans on another level in this form of the game, an absolute joy to watch. Hes going to be a superstar, he already is in India and Afghanistan, keep an eye out for him if you've never seen him, gets you out of your seat. One last thing, the Indian talent that can't make the national squad is frightening, batting, spin and pace bowlers a plenty, could dominate the game in years to come.

Darwen End Closure / New Singing Section
Gav replied to pk1875's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Not read the whole thread but was this decision run past the fans groups? The move certainly makes sense to anyone not impacted by the closure, unlike moving the family stand which for me was a disgrace. -
This football club will never progress until those idiots in Pune scuttle back under the rock from whence they came. Simple as that really.

Burnley pub renamed after Sean Dyche

I've had the misfortune of going in the sh1thole a couple of times, it makes The Sun pub in Blackburn look like Northcote. -
Still can't believe Coleman went to Sunderland, he had everything to lose and nothing to gain for me. His stock was high managing Wales, now its tainted, stupid move for me.

Couldn't agree more. They brought in Walter Zenga to start off with after bombing Lambert out of the club when he refused to sign players he'd never seen, and Walter failed miserably. Wolves will fail, its only a matter of time.

Never been a fan of George Groves mainly from the Froch era really, I think you naturally fell into one camp or another and I was a Froch fan, loved his style and heart. But I must admit I was out of the chair a couple of times against Eubank, he schooled him for large parts of the fight and the fact Groves has fought at a much higher level showed on the night, man against boy for me. But he's young enough to come back, he's a fresh fighter and with his dad doing less and less in the camp can only be a good thing. This weekend we see Kel Brook returning to the ring after his loses to Golovkin and Spence Jr. Think Kel's looking for a pay day against Khan in the next 12 months having shown he's not good enough to mix it with the big boys, so I may not even bother watching it.... Who an I kidding! but he's in this now for the money only and that usually doesn't end well for many fighters.

As Rovers fans we don't give legendary status to many and because of the circumstances Mulgrew has come to us under I doubt he'll reach that level. All that said if he leads the side to successive promotions he'll be an instant legend, either that or he sticks one of Balaji, so fingers crossed on either of those. But I take nothing away from the guy, top player for us and long may that continue.

Good read chaddy, and as Asia says above, well timed also to give everyone a sense of togetherness for the run in, someone with a brain has finally entered the building! Mowbray, having spent many years at Middlesbrough understand the supporters and what the club means to the town, both clubs/towns are remarkably similar and Mowbray gets it. The job this season is nowhere near done and we'll have a few ups and downs in the weeks to come, but as I've consistently said all season, I believe to have us in our current lofty position is remarkable after 8yrs of rape plunder and pillage and for that Mowbray deserves much of the credit.
