Bit excessive don't you think? I was only asking why you sounded outraged at something thats been going on for 7yrs?
-
Where have you been for the last 7yrs? Venkys appoint individuals way beyond their abilities, give them the keys to the club and they run amok. You sound outraged? why?
-
Being a big fan of the Queensberry Rules I may have been a little over top with the fairground analogy donner. My experience of watching UFC is rather limited, but from what I've seen its very much hit and hope, with most fighters gasping for breath after 2 rounds if it goes that far. Not my thing at all, but agree that money talks and will probably ensure this fight does go ahead, sells out and makes both men even more obscenely richer than they currently are.
-
Well I mentioned 2 fights and that'll be what David Hayes remembered for, 2 loses, thats if anyone remembers him at all. I've watched most of career to be honest, remember a great scrap with the French lad Mamorek? saw him live against Ruiz and remember the Carl Thompson defeat well for the criuiserweight title. Over hyped and failed when it really mattered, but its all about opinions pal.
-
Where have you been for the last 2 months Tomphil? Hype hype and more hype with no end product for Bellew, exactly the same before the Klitschko fight where he never landed 1 meaningful punch, not 1 and I've not even started on his superb athletic ability which resulted in his supposed foot injury against Klitschko and Bellew. When push came to shove he failed, miserably, but we'll agree to disagree. Whats this nonsense about Mayweather fighting Conor McGregor? he said yesterday he's officially out of retirement for the fight? at boxing I presume not UFC? Absolute farce if it goes ahead, Mayweather is one of the best fighters of all time, McGregor belongs on the fairgrounds with the rest of UFC,

Big difference now Mike in that we can only call on a small amount of the gene pool, agents running the show, the books are cooked.
-
I know absolutely nothing about a local agent called Simon Conning. In my opinion most agents are leaches and parasites, but I do stress this is my opinion. So back to the main point, top class goal keeper in the summer you called for? With reduced budget and no transfer fee?
-
Not many of those knocking around on a free transfer and £5k a week wages JAL.
-
Tony Mowbray walked out of Coventry because he couldn't build a team with free transfers and loanees, the exact same model we operate here, so whilst he's started well, the future is very uncertain, so I'll reserve judgement on him being a proper manager for now, but you go for it. I could list lots of people brought into the club to improve communication, it never improved anything, it actually got worse and they ended up being sacked. I can list 1 possibly 2 young players that may come through, one hasn't been offered a new deal despite his contract expiring in months, so he could well walk in the summer, so we're down to 1 maybe. Aside from that your post makes perfect sense.
-
I know its not aimed at me, but its such a good question and in no way posted to antagonise anyone. I really enjoyed the summer after we got relegated from the Premiership, that has to be my favourite under Venkys Looking forward to Championship football, players leaving, all Jack Walkers good work thrown down the toilet and the piece de resistance was the 'Venkys confused' interview, it was great to hear our illustrious owners had everything under control. I could go on, pie and beer queue went down, parking was easier and the standard of football was more at my level, in fact at times I could have gotten a game, so that was my favourite summer under Vnkys. How about yours?

Good read as always OjW. Glad Haye got beat, never been a fan, all talk, hype and bluster for me. His performance against Klitch was embarrassing after all his chat beforehand, but he's made a fortune with limited ability and a big mouth, not the first and won't be the last. Looking forward to AJ's fight with Klitch, think AJ can be the real deal, just hope he doesn't rush things.

Ended up having a beer in Harvester Salt Cellar near Middlewich a few weeks back after the M6 went into meltdown. Just had a beer mind but the place was absolutely packed, doing a roaring trade, beer was good also, you know when you get the taste but have to drive

Mowbray seems a decent guy, he may even be principled, which is a rarity in football, but he will never be able to make a success of his time here because we have mad owners. We now have a coach running the club, a missing Venky stooge who apparently pulls the strings and a very poor squad, does anyone think under these circumstances he can make be s success here? I've not even mentioned the massive debt and more cost cutting to come. Its great to win a few games, it'll be even better if we avoid relegation, but let's not kid ourselves here, the clubs a basket case that will continue to decline unless the owners sod off. Tony Mowbrays nothing more than a side show and I doubt he'll see out his 18 month contract, so let's take heads out of the sand, enjoy the wins by all means, because turmoil and heartache is always just around the corner under these rats.

Has he been banned yet?

Their you go again, playing the man not the ball.
-
The sites been infiltrated by kn0bheads recently, present company excepted of course, but you'll soon find out, like on most sites, that constantly playing the man and not the ball will only end one way. Seasoned posters is in reference to posters that have been around for a while, the ones that have contributed in many different ways to keeping this site the best BRFC site on the internet. That doesn't mean new posters aren't welcome, but it does mean new posters need to learn the rules and be respectful, not wonder round threads breaking the posting record in the hope to somehow get a rise out of people. Thats today's lesson over RV, ignore the advice at your peril.
-
You pitched up here 2wks ago and started towing the party line and insulting seasoned posters. You clearly have an agenda, as you're completely ignoring years of mismanagement, under investment and people being promoted beyond their abilities. So you carry on looking towards the future mystic Meg and ignoring the glaringly obvious, but allow us to remain highly sceptical of the youth team coach running our club that's promoted way beyond his abilities.
-
Where have you been for the past 7yrs? Do you think Coyle asked to sign Jaoa? or do you think Senior, a glorified youth team coach brought him in on his own initiative? Wake up man, how many times do we have to see the same mistakes being made over and over again for some to take heads out of backsides?
-
It never ceases to amaze me just how simplistic people see out current plight, yes the fortunes of the club eventually boil down to results, but so much more goes on in between and most people haven't got a clue. Gary Bowyer did a tremendous job, initially to keep us up in his caretaker role, then to carry the club for the next few seasons whilst everyone around him was either sacked or left under a cloud. He hardly had any contact with the owners, his superiors offered little or no support, fought and robbed the club blind, and Bowyer still managed to keep us in the championship bringing decent talent through in the process. Paul Lambert came in to gain promotion, was promised support from the owners and advisors to achieve that goal, but that promise was broken within weeks of him arriving, and he had to sell Rhodes who was treated disgracefully by the owners, how can any of this lend itself to getting results on the pitch. Mowbray has a boss in Senoir thats seemingly got a free reign, a free reign he doesn't deserve, his lack of experience in the top job means he's just another example of someone that should be nowhere near this football club, so Mowbray needs an educated fan base that see the bigger picture. Supporting Blackburn Rovers in 2017 isn't just about results and performances on the pitch, open your minds, see the bigger picture for gods sake.

I don't think sitting alone at the back of The Commercial in Accrington qualifies you to comment on how Wolves fans, Pompey fans or Baggies are feeling blueboy, but you carry on son
-
People talking with great authority about stuff they know nowt about as per usual. I'm surrounded by Wolves fans where I live and in the main theyre happy with Lambert, and realise he needs more than a few weeks to turn things around. The bunkum posted about Mowbray last night was some of the biggest load of cr@p I've ever read on here and I've read some right nonsense over the years. Give the guy a bleedin chance!
-
When they've ruled the roost for 30yrs consecutively they can maybe then lay claim to our crown, until then no matter how much money they have, or what value players they have, they're only ever 3 thick Indian chicken farmers and a sun tanned cockney spiv away from disaster.
-
I almost fell asleep listening to Mowbray if I'm honest, but he seems a decent guy, determined, and wants to do a good job, we can't ask for anymore really. I'm more uncomfortable that Paul Senior a youth team coach and former academy scout has been given a seemingly free reign to appoint the next manager of our football club, he's nowhere near qualified to be in the role he currently holds and should not be appointing football managers at Blackburn Rovers.
-
Bob mentions his bullshitometer, well mines now going off again with this Bowyer bashing and unsubstantiated cr@p. He did a decent job here, as we're finding out now to our cost now.
