This pretty much sums up the difference in the two teams. They are fighting for survival and we aren't (yet).
After a miserable journey back I have to say there are a couple of positives. After a shaky start to the season Ooijer seems to have got his act together and is beginning to look a lot more solid. Brad also kept us in it - before the goal that is! Shame about that, eh?!
We could have played for a further 90 mins and still not scored. We are in trouble. This is no longer a 'string of bad results' but a loud warning bell.
Its like nonda and benny are scared of the ball and the number of times we gave the ball away was just ridiculous.
Wake up Rovers!
I fancy a draw and a replay. Could go either way.
Dunno the stats on this (maybe someone could come up with the details) but I dont remember the last time we drew someone outside the top 2 divisions in the fa cup ... ball number 5 is definately not one of the heated ones!
Funny motd would focus on rooney as being a key player because I dont think he had a good game at all. He missed at least two easy chances. Maybe tptb at the bbc just see what they want to see.
Actually after having watched the highlights on tv I thought we had more chances than it appeared at 1st as many of them happened at the darwen end.
Does anyone know what happened to the guy who collapsed in the bbe and was being stretchered off at the end?
It is. Have been there at least half a dozen time and we have lost every time.
(Including the season they went down and couldn't win at home).
I was hoping if we could manage a win against Bolton at the weekend then we were on course to beat another bogie fixture, but since we lost I am less optomistic.
Still... we can't keep losing to them, can we? surely?
The top half of the championship looks a bit scary. At the time of writing, Burnley are 3rd!!! It's all a bit worrying. We can't have Burnley in the Premier league can we? It's bad enough that Preston (who are currently fourth) reach the playoffs occasionally.
I just hope that this is just early season form and won't mean owt in t'long haul
... And for those of us NOT jetting off to foreign destinations to see the team we love ... Anyone know if any of our fixtures are going to be on the telly?
You have to expect the Feyenoord fixture would at least get sufficient attention away from the Spuds/Barcodes - biased media to get a look in.
