  1. That's his game. ball to feet. I think he is still adjusting to Mowbray style and the amount of fitness he expect from you. Clearly not any previous manager expecting this
  2. He want a solid centre midfield 3 which isn't Dack game or I wouldn't have played his wide either. Plus with Brereton and Armstrong wide give us pace and movement. Plus Graham looked shattered to me. Brereton isn't a target man type of player I agree and its there to see his potential
  3. good effort for fans. I walked the ticket office about a hour before kick off and they wasn't 10 people there. about 45 mins before kick off the Blackburn End concourse didn't even had 100 people in there. I do agree with @arbitro 's comment that Blackburn Rovers need to send emails and mail to those walk on's fans to get them back as season tickets. I seen a few people who I haven't seen for a while there including a friend who made a decision to come down 90 mins before kick off. Hopefully he will get a season ticket now
  4. Good to see he is still looking towards the youth players thanks for your comments and about Mowbray. I hope the fans will recognise the team and manager needs your support and get down regardless of cost
  5. do you think Biesla could have done anything more today? who were the 2 young players you bought on?
  6. I think you are being overcritical today. He needs more game time and match fitness.
  7. I agree with all of the above post. our team spirit is one of the best ever in my Rovers lifetime I think Mowbray can get us to the top 6 this season. The players seemed to understand his method and logic, and each one plays to the role he wants. He has rebuilt this football club with his time here and give the club back to the club
  8. what a complete and utter loads of rubbish. Suggest you look at Mowbray post match comments and watch the game back. He made 3 or 4 runs and got us up the pitch at time when we needed. Touch poor? really whoever said he had explosive pace? He did very decent and we are seeing the player we got. Like the ball to feet and can run with it and use the pace he has. He played wide for the team and that's what you have to do in this team at time. The name on the front of the shirt is more important than the name on the back of the shirt.
  9. Well deserved win I thought. 1st half we were the better side by and should have 3 or 4 goals. Armstrong our best player 1st half. Always a danger with pace and skills. Leeds scored a good goal and you know they are a good team with good coach and have style of play/tactics they dont change from. Second half we were forced back by Leeds and had to tough it out and been strong at the back. I didnt agree with Mowbray and the way he played after Graham went off. Thought it was the wrong move and would cost us. But I was proven wrong by Mowbray and the players. The bond of these players and Mowbray is shining through every game and it is a great pleasure and enjoyment to watch them every home game. They play for the shirt and values of this club. The all team were man of the match. No weak players today. Pleased to see Brereton show fans the player he is. Tony Mowbray's Blue and White Army! COYB!!!!
  10. .@kevingallacher8 with his final thoughts on #rovers 2-1 victory over #Leeds. https://t.co/guJUSTsD4h
  11. TM on the three #Rovers subs: “Three or four of the players at the final whistle said how fantastic they thought the lads who came on did for the team to help see the game out. That shows the spirit of this group.” "It was hard-earned today." #Blackburn manager Tony Mowbray after their 2-1 win against #Leeds. #Rovers #BBCFootball #BBCLancsSport https://t.co/fDsVG5ZGvh
  12. "It was a bit of a shock to the system when I first came here...but now I'm fully up to speed with what he wants" #Blackburn's Joe Rothwell on adjusting to Tony Mowbray's training methods #Rovers #bbclancssport #bbcfootball https://t.co/sv69hAAeQ5
  13. "He's so professional that he phoned me on the night to say he was alright" #Blackburn head coach Tony Mowbray on a slight injury picked up by @Charlie_Mulgrew on international duty #Rovers #bbclancssport #bbcfootball https://t.co/842ql6N8zu
  14. "Sometimes fans can suck the ball into the net" #Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray urging fans to come and support their team against #Leeds tomorrow #Rovers #bbcfootball https://t.co/9pfbuhyjki
  15. supposedly the ticket office has been busy today with ticket sales for the Leeds game
  16. no way can Wigan afford it.
  17. I would play Brady at left winger and Coleman at right back if fit. what the press saying over there? is it under pressure from the IFA?
  18. Ive just had a look into the team that played and bench. Its a decent squad with alot of Championship experience. I don't understand why Egan or Stevens and Long/Maguire weren't played. Or the formation either. I would pick this team, GK - Randolph, RB - Doherty, CB - Duffy, CB - Egan, LB - Stevens, RW - McClean, CM - Arter, CM - Meyler, LW - Robinson, AM - Hendrick, ST - Long/Maguire. what do you think?
  19. Can I ask what are the current tactics and have they change over his term? I didn't see the Wales game. I don't know Stephen Kenny at all so cant comment at all. But I think Sam Allardyce would give you structure and a balance to the team. Don't know about the money side.
  20. Well I hope Levy gets the cheque book out cos he aint going to get Dack on the cheap. Like he tried with Grealish. 25 million pounds plus. But I think Mowbray and Venkys will keep Dack here if we are in playoffs or close to them. Plus Venkys are very tough to deal with. Good luck Levy ?
  21. Has that back 5 ever played together? I suspect Mowbray is working us towards playing that way. But Mowbray has played both systems this season.. Are you Irish? Im not being rude btw but a genuine question.. Would you like to see O'Neill sack? If so, who would you like to see replace him?
  22. A back 3 of Lenihan, Rodwell and Mulgrew does look strong with Bennett and Bell as wing backs does look good on paper. I think in 12 months time we will be 3 at the back majority of the games under Mowbray. But we will only see and down to signings.
  23. My team Raya Bennett Lenihan Mulgrew Williams Evans Rodwell Reed Dack Rothwell Graham Subs:- Luerwiler Bell Downing Smallwood Armstrong Palmer Brereton
  24. Speaking in his press conference, the boss says: “Charlie Mulgrew had a few days off but trained today; hopefully he’ll train tomorrow too and will be fine for the weekend.” #Rovers More on injuries: “Ryan Nyambe could join in with training tomorrow, but the match might be too soon. Jacob Davenport is ready to go but needs a game, so has gone to Brighton with the Under-23s.” #Rovers On #Rovers v Leeds, the boss says: “We’ve got three tough games coming up. Let’s make it a really good game on the pitch and a really vociferous atmosphere off it this weekend. We’re in a tough league and the lads are giving their all to win matches.” Tony adds: “I’ve got a burning desire in my belly because I can feel the positivity at the club. The players want to learn and listen, and I feel we can get our teeth into this job and move in the right direction. We have a real opportunity here.” ? #Rovers The boss finishes by saying: “I want to manage in the Premier League again, and I’d like the people of Blackburn to have a team in the Premier League again. I’d like to see the scenes from the Oxford game every single week.” #Rovers All from Mowbray's press conference.
