I have already said I would prefer Kent to Maddison. He brings experience of this league in 2 different spells and was Barnsley young player of the year in 2016/17 season. Not sure if he is still injured I am fully aware that they are different positions but all depends on whether Armstrong signs, where Rothwell and Bennett plays, Kent signing here and what formation we used mainly. Look at the above comment. Kent was Barnsley young player of the season so cant have been that poor could he? Why Maddison? Dont see Mowbray spending 2.5 million pounds on him when we need a striker in. I rather sign Kent on loan then sign 2 strikers in Gallagher on loan and Armstrong permanently.

I am fully aware of Mowbray's comments about signings and recruitment. I agree we dont want loads of loan players like we had under Coyle. I think 2 loans out 6 signings is fine and nothing to worry about.. Mowbray has a budget and I'm looking he is looking to spend most of it on a striker like Armstrong as a potential target. Im sure they will be others aswell. Plus possibly Chapman permanently if terms are right for us or cheap backup centre back if Wharton leaves on loan. Then sign 2 loan players. Kent and Gallagher being those 2. So our summer transfer business would be. Permanent signings - Rothwell, Davenport, Armstrong(my choice), Chapman or cheap centre back. I think Kent will be playing if he comes. He knows Mowbray from Cpventry and that's might be why he wants to come here cos of that link and how well he played at Coventry. He was good for Barnsley and played a role in their season being good for promoted club that season. Kent is a pacey, tricky and skilful winger and that's what we need. Yes I am aware that Bristol City were fined for not playing him but before we start worrying about that lets just calm down and see the terms before we start panicking for no reason and trust the Rovers management to do the right thing. Why wouldnt we be looking at him. Did very well here last time and fit within our budget. We arent got millions after millions to spend. If we are targeting 2 permanent and 2 loan signings then I think its very sensible to target Gallagher and Kent. Both have Championship experience. If we can sign Chapman permanently and possibly Armstrong if we can afford him. Them 4 for me would be good signings for us.
