  1. Does Rovers play Coventry on the 2nd of the April
  2. Here are some of the people who are interest in buying Chelsea. Chelsea sale sparks bidding fight in £3bn takeover war - meet the billionaires scrambling in football's biggest auction (thesun.co.uk) The deadline is today for bids to be in
  3. Well I have but you aren't getting the point. So I just leave it there Cos in recent games we aren't games with 5 at the back and I want a number 10 playing off a striker not a false 9 anymore. He's not match fit at all that's clear to see or like Dack could be but after his 2 cameos if we can get 60/65 mins from Dack before a 2 weeks gap then I would start. If we can't then I would start Buckley in the 10 and replace with Dack after 60 mins.
  4. But you have taken my comment out of context as I don't want Gallagher being a target man player but if we do play long balls sometimes he can win games like he did on Tuesday. But he can press from the front, make runs in behind/in between their centre backs. If we provide him the right service he will score the goals
  5. My switch to back 4 wouldn't depend on Nyambe being fit or not. Lenihan would play there for this game. Gallagher should play the striker with Dack off him. If Dack can't start then play Buckley there. Yes 3 at the back as worked mostly defensively in recent games BUT we haven't been winning games with it. Giles on the wing would be able to provide good crosses in for forward players plus we should be pressing from the front
  6. I would go 4-2-3-1 formation and play similar to how we played that second half Kaminski Lenihan Van Hecke Wharton Pickering Travis Rothwell Dolan Dack or Buckley Giles Gallagher
  7. No I haven't but the cross was very good
  8. Haven't I already said Cairney were sold cheaper than he should have been. These 3 players have been offered improved contracts and refuse to them. And where you saying last season we should been offering Brereton last season before his goalscoring this season? The mark up value were made by Bowyer not myself. He went for 25 million 6 years later after 2 clubs moves and playing for top 6 Spanish club. Wind up? Give it rest roversfan99 if that's the best comment you got. Cos they advised by the club and managers what they worth. I remember being a fan meeting where fans were saying that Gestede were sold on the cheap despite Bowyer and Shaw saying 6 million pounds was the highest bid we ever received.
  9. So Gallagher is as poor as Nathan Blake, Ashley Ward, Chris Brown, Grabbi? Really? Not at all. When I said like we did with Graham, my point as a lone striker with Dack or Buckley in the 10, Dolan on the right and Giles on the left putting crosses in the box. When we play him up front and not wide he scores goals and looks more threat than he does wide. His heading against Derby was good powerful header.
  10. Do you think Nzonzi was worth than 4 million pounds that we sold him for? Cairney was sold for 3 million which was undervalued IMO But Bowyer said after we sold him "We’re bringing in a player like Tom and the transfer fee that we paid for him and the transfer fee that we sold him for is nowhere near the same. The mark-up is unbelievable from the club. So from that point of view, that’s good business." I don't know if Cairney was sold from under the manager's feet but he comments on this also " “It’s a sad loss to lose Tom. “He was a fantastic player, a great player for us, and a cracking lad from a really good family. “We are disappointed he has left us but the offer on the table went to the owners and they accepted that. “We have to move on now but what it shows you is the environment that we’ve got here and the work that we do here, it’s producing players, and in this day and age we have to take the positives out of that.
  11. We did change formation on Saturday when we played Bristol City when Dack came on and went 4 at the back and played 4-2-3-1 formation. Against Millwall we have more than chances to win that game.
  12. I would suspect that Lenihan and Travis first had words with the squad and then Mowbray came into the dressing room had to his say, then we sorted out the subs and how we would play for the second half. We have to be open to change and play a formation that we to get the win You have said you would have kept a back 3/5 whilst some people have said we should move back 4-2-3-1 now and press higher up. We got to go back to that formation and play similar way to way we did with Graham. Play Gallagher and he will score goals. Also put crosses in. Giles's cross is a wonderful cross
  13. clearly they know business and what players are worth. Just look at the Phil Jones where they got more money out of United despite them meeting his release clause, Rhodes transfer fee, Gestede. When they sell players they generally get good money when we sell one. Plus Bournemouth withdraw their bid for Rothwell cos they signed Cantwell who they have used in a midfield 3 now.
  14. That's the post online I quote from but I wasn’t going the entire post or his name. No you can't.
  15. Some interested games tonight affecting Rovers league position wise
  16. Wharton's comments post match after he recieved his man of the match award He said first half we were simply rubbish. We were lethargic, no energy or pace or passion. Some serious words were exchanged between the players and from the manager. They know they are much better than that first 45 mins. Thankfully they came out and proved it in the second half.
  17. It reminded me of the league 1 campaign cos we went a target man striker, 2 wide men and Dack in the 10.
  18. Does that really matter? On the starting line up I have already he that badly wrong. I would say our squad have plenty of character and passion. Lenihan, Travis, Wharton, Dack, etc. We played the same way in the second half last game.
  19. Reading far too much it again. Stick to Gambling if what you post is true
  20. It's doesn't like Mowbray is but we see in the summer. Venkys have backed Mowbray and the club year after year. Cantwell is playing in midfield 3 at Bournemouth. Drawn out affair? A couple of days is hardly a drawn out affair is it? Why is unacceptable?
  21. He hasnt the dressing room at all. The players are playing for him as tonight result shows
  22. Delighted with the win tonight after an awful disappointment first half performance. Mowbray got to his team selection wrong. Johnson as false 9 is an awful decision by him. We didn't play on front foot or press from the front. No desire or movement in the first half. Half time Mowbray makes 2 positive subs and go to 4-2-3-1 with Gallagher up front. Those changes got the fans back onside after being booed at half time. We press from the front and played like we can and should be. The first goal was good header from Wharton and good delivery by Rothwell. Second goal was a short corner with Dack chipping it into the 6 yards box for Dolan to head home. Third goal was good cross by Giles and Gallagher headed in the net. Play Gallagher as a striker and he will score goals. Dack made a difference and he's isn't yet old Dack But he will get there. Did more running and he clever ball in the box for Dolan shown that. It's was a very good performance second half. Derby deserved their first half lead and they outclass out. But second half we got back to how we can play. Going forward to the Reading game I would stick to the 4-2-3-1 formation with Gallagher up front. Giles on left and maybe start Dack and take off after 60 mins so if possible. If not then Buckley. But we have to press from the front and play a similar way when we got promote from League 1. More direct if we can but use our wing players. Gallagher can score goals. Anyway delighted with 3 points and back to winning ways. COYB! 🔵⚪
  23. Mike Newell for me. He was very good player for us and he scored some great important goals for us.
