  1. Some interested games tonight affecting Rovers league position wise
  2. Wharton's comments post match after he recieved his man of the match award He said first half we were simply rubbish. We were lethargic, no energy or pace or passion. Some serious words were exchanged between the players and from the manager. They know they are much better than that first 45 mins. Thankfully they came out and proved it in the second half.
  3. It reminded me of the league 1 campaign cos we went a target man striker, 2 wide men and Dack in the 10.
  4. Does that really matter? On the starting line up I have already he that badly wrong. I would say our squad have plenty of character and passion. Lenihan, Travis, Wharton, Dack, etc. We played the same way in the second half last game.
  5. Reading far too much it again. Stick to Gambling if what you post is true
  6. It's doesn't like Mowbray is but we see in the summer. Venkys have backed Mowbray and the club year after year. Cantwell is playing in midfield 3 at Bournemouth. Drawn out affair? A couple of days is hardly a drawn out affair is it? Why is unacceptable?
  7. He hasnt the dressing room at all. The players are playing for him as tonight result shows
  8. Delighted with the win tonight after an awful disappointment first half performance. Mowbray got to his team selection wrong. Johnson as false 9 is an awful decision by him. We didn't play on front foot or press from the front. No desire or movement in the first half. Half time Mowbray makes 2 positive subs and go to 4-2-3-1 with Gallagher up front. Those changes got the fans back onside after being booed at half time. We press from the front and played like we can and should be. The first goal was good header from Wharton and good delivery by Rothwell. Second goal was a short corner with Dack chipping it into the 6 yards box for Dolan to head home. Third goal was good cross by Giles and Gallagher headed in the net. Play Gallagher as a striker and he will score goals. Dack made a difference and he's isn't yet old Dack But he will get there. Did more running and he clever ball in the box for Dolan shown that. It's was a very good performance second half. Derby deserved their first half lead and they outclass out. But second half we got back to how we can play. Going forward to the Reading game I would stick to the 4-2-3-1 formation with Gallagher up front. Giles on left and maybe start Dack and take off after 60 mins so if possible. If not then Buckley. But we have to press from the front and play a similar way when we got promote from League 1. More direct if we can but use our wing players. Gallagher can score goals. Anyway delighted with 3 points and back to winning ways. COYB! 🔵⚪
  9. Mike Newell for me. He was very good player for us and he scored some great important goals for us.
  10. Conway is one of my favourite player for Rovers
  11. what is afford in your opinion then? I would say 20 pounds a ticket is affordable. don't you?
  12. A new manager will be able to bring in his own players and shape the squad his own way and fit his tactics. I suggested a few players that would fit the way I would like to play next season and fit the way I would us to play which would be 4-3-3 and the counter attack. I have said that I think Lenihan will stay next season. I do think Venkys will invest this summer Also where was Rothwell going to move to given that Bournemouth withdraw the Rothwell bid in favour of signing Todd Cantwell.
  13. I think the way Derby play will play into our hands with Rooney likes to play out from the back and we should be high and force them into mistakes leading to opportunities for us
  14. Fulham are going for promotion as we are. You make a fair point on Preston and Blackpool I guess 2 massive blows there. Lowe has been very good at left back/wing back for them. They don't really have quality back up for Lowe. They could change to back 4 maybe
  15. I remember watching him on Sky Sports in the studio doing analysis on a Premier League game and his straight talking was impressive just a week or 2 before his appointment as manager here. He's never changed and he still one of my favourite pundit. He was great manager for us and his promotion team was a joy to watched. He managed to lead us to beating those Dingles twice in a season and the 5 nil home win was one of my favourite wins as Rovers fan. It's Shame how it ended but I will never had a bad word to say about his tenure here. This is only one Greame Souness.
  16. Given that Everton sold their left back Digne to Everton before Lampard was appointed. The other left back Mykolenko is a new signing and is trying to settle in while in his own country there is war going on. Not a easy situation to be in. Hasn't Kenny been playing left back in most of Lampard with Keane and Holgate as centre back with Coleman at right back?
  17. I wouldn't think most of those players I mentioned Would be within our wage structure. So do I hope I am right about Lenihan
  18. I think Lenihan will stay but I think we can replace Nyambe and Rothwell with similar quality and I gave some good examples of potential signings. Like Right position in Brattain from Barnsley or Bree from Luton. On replacing Rothwell I suggested these 3 players in Styles from Barnsley, Brannagan from Oxford and Matty Longstaff from Newcastle. What do you think of these suggestions?
  19. Mid week fixtures that affect us Tuesday night Birmingham vs Boro Bournemouth vs Reading WBA vs Fulham Wednesday night Forest vs QPR Blackpool vs Sheffield United Coventry vs Hull Luton vs Preston Milwall vs Huddersfield
  20. I think its an exciting prospect and challenge in the summer if we don't get promote for the manager/head coach whether its Mowbray in charge or a new person to rebuild the squad and if its a new guy a challenge for him to bring in his own players and shape the squad his own way.
  21. I'm abit like that myself. Still can't believe we didn't win on Saturday after the chances we created. Agreed with your comment about Gallagher seems much better and more determine when he went centre with Dack. One of the reasons I put him up front. Plus I want my wide players and full backs putting crosses in. The team I have picked is balanced and I went for back 4 cos I want us to press higher and similar to Swansea and Cardiff when we played that well. Derby will play it out from the back and I believe we should be pressing higher which something we didn't do on Saturday enough Coming to stores near you for £1.99 per drink soon. 🤣 No chance
  22. Yet again you have misread my comments and nowhere did I remove all responsibility from Mowbray but my point was the players have to take some responsibility for missing these chances and Mowbray will take the rest.
  23. Did you go? How well did you play?
  24. I think I've been quite clearly what post was replying to.
