Travis signed a new contract
chaddyrovers replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
2 key players have now signed new contract within the last 5 weeks. Its shows our key players want to same and see a future at Rovers. As @J*Bhas said wuld they signed them if Mowbray's future isn't staying here. His agent is Unique Sports Group. Giles and Edun are with the same agent. I do think Lenihan will stay at Rovers but won't commit until the end of the season IMO -

games this weekend that Rovers fans should be interested in Friday night West Brom vs Huddersfield Live on Sky Sports football channel Saturday Barnsley vs Fulham 12.30pm. Live on Sky Sports football channel Bournemouth vs Derby Coventry vs Sheffield United Millwall vs Boro Forest vs Reading Sunday Luton vs QPR 12pm live on Sky Sports football channel -
Of course I was at the game at Ewood but why wouldn't I be there tho? Great player is massive over stating him as a player. Good target man but given How we play wouldn't be suited for us. @JHRovermentioned Connelly and Balogun who have not had a massive goalscoring impact there. 1 goal in 10 appearances each. is that something to be jumping around at?

Mowbray, the summer and beyond
chaddyrovers replied to TheRovers1994's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I think Mowbray is decent enough manager for us. Thanks for that agreement but he seems to done a good job there. Can I ask you why Rooney would be first choice? Its not someone I haven't thought about to be honest but I do think he done a good job at Derby given the financial problems there and ownership problems there -
Well done to Rovers on secure Travis on a long term contract. I'm delighted and thrilled by this news.

Mowbray, the summer and beyond
chaddyrovers replied to TheRovers1994's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
You have said repeatedly Mowbray is not the man for you which is fair enough. He delivered promotion and that's wad the aim. Just look at how long it's taken other teams to get promoted from league like Sheffield United, Leeds and teams like Sunderland can't get promote -
Did it work to get into the promotion race and top 6? I seemed to remember it did. Also you mention 2 players signed By Boro who have scored 1 goal in 10 appearances. What an impact.

chaddyrovers replied to roversfan99's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Correct you are. -
Obsess by other teams. Mowbray told the press in Early January we wouldnt be overspending in the January's window. Oh yes Connelly and Balogun have set the world a light there given they have ONLY scored 1 goal in 10 appearances. Davis at Forest has 2 goals in 9 appearance. None of them suited how Mowbray plays the front 2.

Here is Mowbray quote "Khadra has trained, he was heavily strapped, but fingers crossed he’ll be back out there tomorrow. " Khadra has been out for few days now. So I would ease him back him. Given that he trained heavily strapped up suggested he isn't 100% so I wouldn't risk him from the start -

Your response doesn't surprised Jim but John Brown will know what is going on behind the scenes and know much more than we do. -

Does that matter? We had a post on here from a Rovers fan who is Norway based and given us an in depth report on him. Who are your suggestions than? -

Yes. I would play him as Khadra isn't fit and still not 100% so I would not take risk of starting him for the game. -
Premier League season 21/22

hasn't Abramovich already said any profits from the sale from the club will go to the victims of the Ukraine crisis? Chelsea's officials have met the government today to discuss the problems with the special licence. I feel sorry for fans who won't be able to attend the game due to not being ST holder -
How did he struggled to get into Spurs' reserve side in the last 18 months before he moved here when he made 14 appearances this season scoring 12 goals and last season played in 20 games out of 24 games that the Spurs Under 23 squad had? Dilan Markanday - Detailed stats | Transfermarkt

Very interesting thread started and post by @TheRoversReturn. You make some good points there. On Mowbray's future, I would get him a new contract if we get promote or achieve a top 6 finish but no promotion. If we don't achieve top 6 at all then I think we need a change of manager. Any new manager need to be able develop our academy players and bring through into the first team, good tactical and has modern training methods. Here my shortlist Damien Johnson as internal candidate Neil Critchley from Blackpool Mark Robins from Coventry Paul Warne from Rotherham Gareth Ainsworth from Wycombe 2 Left field choices Rob Edwards from Forest Green Rovers(could be another Steve Cooper) Kjetil Knutsen from bodo glimt in Norway. Recruitment for next season will be crucial in the summer and thats why I hope that John Park our chief scout and his scouts and data analysis people are already identify players we need. I will do a more in depth recruitment plan on Sunday when I had time to look into squad needs for next season and players I would look at recruit. -

Someone who play the main striker like Shearer did in his time here or a Danny Graham who lead the line or is the focus point of the attack in my opinion

posted a link last week to the Styles bid and started a thread about it. If you want to not believe it but that's your decision. We did sign a forward in Markanday that suited our style in January
-
We don't know everything that goes on behind the scenes and its not wise to be over critical with knowing the full facts but we did money to spend and were bidding for players in the January window. Just look at summer window when we had Maja ready to sign on deadline day but no-one knew that until after Summer window. We did sign an player who fitted the role how we play our forwards in the January window but he got injured after one game Also you keep going on and one about us not signing a forward but we didn't. As you said last night in the match thread "Would have, could have, should have - but we didn't."

v Millwall (h) - 8/3/22
chaddyrovers replied to Uddersfelt Blue's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
We were good in spells and had we taken our chances would have the game. We have to agree to disagree on Millwall's approach to the game. far too defensive for me. Also given that Jed Wallace is regarding by EFL pundits as one of the best players in championship where was he last night. Rovers stop him having such an influence on the game But playing the false 9 was one of the reasons why would Mowbray change it in his mindset? I do think you make a good suggestion on how the front 3 should play from now on. Reading and listening to Mowbray's comments about Dack today, its sounds like Dack isn't really going to be ready match fit this season and is going to struggle to play the closing down of opposition defence. Mowbray left his subs including Jack Vale for too long and late. Mowbray should have gone 4 at the back(as @glen9mullansuggested tho I would got a different way) after 60/65 mins after we didn't score after good spell in the 1st 15 of the second half. risk losing the point for 3. Yes I have faith in Vale more than you do. I also wouldn't have taken Buckley off. He was pulling the strings that why Rowett change it at half time and then again 10/15 mins into the second half. -
More conspiracy theories there form yourself. We know that we made a 1.5 million for Dembele and we held talks with him. We also had 1.5 million bid for Styles accepted. Both in the public domain we don't play with main striker in the current formation. its that system that got us into top 6 and even a chance of playoffs.
