Why? Would you still fill with despair if we appoint an experience DoF and Farke or Carvalhal as our next head coach? Do you have a problem with this football structure? If you look at the Norwich and how they did it is something I would be looking at bringing in here. Agreed Rob Key has made 4 key decisions already. Appointed Stokes as Captain, McCullum as red ball head coach, splitting the head coach role into 2 and bringing back national Selector role.

I agree with you on alot of your points above. The DoF should be in charge of the football side of the club and if I was in charge I would be approaching Stuart Webber or Luke Dowling for example today and looking to bring them in asap. The head coach should be focusing on the coaching the team, tactics and match days along with should involved in the type of player he wants for the position he wants a signing in, but the DoF does the work with the recruitment to bring players the head coach wants. The head coach should be allow to bring in his own number 2, goalkeeper coach and fitness coach. The DoF should be bringing the right of the staff like Physios, doctors and recruitment/scouting staff.

Mowbray should have reach the playoffs at least once in those 4 years and for me it was in the first season after promotion we had a good team or in the third season when we had Armstrong scoring for fun and Elliott in the team. This season we were second in the league in February and we didn't make the playoffs. That was mainly down to Mowbray. No excuses for me. Its worked perfectly for Norwich with Stuart Webber as DoF and Farke has head coach. Webber worked with Farke on the signings but its was Webber who scouting knowledge and expertise who secured signings like Pukki and Buendia.

He got 2 top 6 finish and playoff spot. Better than Mowbray did here He was the head coach of them not the person deciding on the players they signed or wages they got. He is someone I have like since his days at Sheffield United cos he is good coach and set his teams well.

I think your post on Grayson is fair and balanced. Wouldn't be the right manager for us now. Pre Coyle, I think he was the right man for us but not now. Like Miller11 said, Grayson was like touting himself for the manager job here.

Stuart Webber is the man at Norwich who is appointed Daniel Farke. He is director of football there. He also appointed David Wagner at Huddersfield.

I know he was as I know Pete outside the forum but he made a fair point that some people think we can't do better than Mowbray whether its on social media sites, etc and I find its annoying and very negative on our club and we should be aiming for better and promotion within 2 years of any managerial appointment. Aren't the players back in 4 and half weeks time for pre season?

I am grateful for league 1 promotion but this season after being second we should at least got a playoff place. Rovers need to get Daniel Farke and back him financially and give him 2 years to achieve promotion
