  1. The players will be back before the end of June. Given that the season starts on 29th July and you would want 5 weeks pre season normally. We need to make an appointment in the next 2 to 3 weeks and no lately given the numbers of situations within the club that needs to be sorted.
  2. If Rovers management team want a Liam Manning or Gareth Ainsworth we are going to have to wait until their teams have finish their playoffs and that could be nearly the end of May before we can appoint them. For me, Rovers need to make an appointment in the next 2 weeks to allow that new manager/head coach to bring in his own staff which sounds like new number 2 plus other staff members, head of recruitment, New head of medical services, etc. Starting recruiting new players and finalising pre season plans. My choice would be Daniel Farke. Other names I would look is Carlos Carvalhal, David Wagner and Paul Warne. If you a young up and coming manager then Someone like Rob Edwards, Liam Manning or Mark Bonner The next decision of who replaces Mowbray is crucial and need to be done quick
  3. Yes we do, we need a manager/head coach who can take the club to the next level but keep bringing through good young players we got. I have mention Daniel Farke who did both at Norwich as my top choice. Joe, Can I asked given you work in football what do you know about him? I've seen one game live on sky the other week, but all I seen is highlights of his games and the fact he favour 3-4-1-2 formation during his time at Forest Green Rovers. why? Hasn't Pulis retired as I seem to remember a post from @1864roveriteposting this news a few weeks/couple of months ago
  4. I was very disappointed last night after not being able to beat Bournemouth and take our promotion chances to the last game of the season.
  5. Rovers linked with Cameron Humphreys https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/cameron-humphreys-to-blackburn-rovers-is-it-a-good-potential-move-would-he-start-what-does-he-offer/
  6. WBA manager Steve Bruce wants to sign Lenihan and Rothwell https://www.westbromnews.co.uk/2022/05/01/steve-bruce-wants-to-snap-up-blackburn-pair-joe-rothwell-and-darragh-lenihan-for-west-brom/
  7. So that we can developing into key players like Travis, Buckley and Wharton will be next season. Think Lenihan will stay tbh. I'm not bothered about Nyambe leaving. Think he is average Championship full back
  8. very over the top reaction there Tyrone. Andrew Proctor is the head of medical services here and is set for Newcastle I believe
  9. We need a manager/head coach who will continue to bring through our academy players and develop players. This is key part of any Blackburn Rovers football transfer strategy and plan
  10. Mercer where I have said I want Mark Venus to stay? blimey, try reading posts properly firstly but what I want is clarity from the club over the next appointment and what the plan is going forward.
  11. Bournemouth were a class above us today and its shown at times. We still had chances but took not. We didn't lose our playoff place chances on this game but about 10 games were we should won or at least drew the game. Kaminski was my man of the match
  12. who are these 3 colleagues? are they Rovers fans? Lee Carsley was interim manager at Brentford and is currently England under 21;s manager
  13. I disagree and People said Paul Lambert wouldn't come but he did. We can go 1 of 2 ways now. We go for an ambitous appointment like Daniel Farke or Carlos Carvalhal or we go for young and coming manager like Liam Manning or Mark Bonner. Mark Venus might want to leave Rovers. I think Lancs Live Rovers reporter said that Andrew Proctor is off to Newcastle in post match facebook chat. Others are off to Man City woman and Red Bull Leipzig. These are all promotions for them. It was a question that I have posted and one I will be emailing the club about tomorrow. All depends on their contracts and who the next manager is.
  14. Mowbray has confirmed he is leaving the club after next week game. He has confirmed that John Park will leave and other staff in the medical department are leaving for Man City Woman and Red Bull Leipzig. But Mark Venus is still under contract and We need know whether David Lowe, Ben Benson and Damien Johnson will remain here. Will Mark Venus become director of football here? What role will Waggott play in the next appointment and whats the plan going forward from here. Its disappointing the club haven't talk to Mowbray and even to say Tony we won't be renewing your contract and thanks for all your hard work in rebuilding a football club and efforts are much apprenticed. Rovers must look to appoint to the best man for the job and for me that's is Daniel Farke. He is exactly the type of manager/head coach we need now to take us to the next step
  15. Lambert was quickly line up and probably before we sacked Bowyer. We were in the top 2 this season and he had nearly 15 million plus to spend and wages spend. I am fed up with excuses from people over the lack of funding he has had cos he had more than enough time and money. Nathan Jones at Luton or Carlos Corberan at Huddersfield haven't had loads of money and nothing like what Mowbray has but both are in the playoffs places A new manager looks at the strengths of your squad and should play according. The way we played against PNE is the blue print how we should be playing and I would implented throughout the club football structure. On the Selection differences, Yes we will lose Van Hecke and Rothwell from that team for sure. I think Brereton Diaz will go, but I think Lenihan will re-sign this summer, so hat leaves a good starting line up
  16. Its a more complex and complicate question than just one word answer Mowbray needs to move on now. He has done very well here but not able to take us to the promotion that we all want. So time we move on and say thanks for all your hard work and effort. Grayson has had 3 poor spells since his Sunderland days there. Wouldn't be my choice but listening to him during the PNE game its came across that he would be interesting in replacing Mowbray.
  17. Mowbray needs to go. His time here is done. Wouldn't shock me if he wanted to go into becoming a manager this summer somewhere How does Mowbray know anything about next season budget if he hasn't spoken to the owners and board about it? Yee Is this a hint?
  18. he has been more enough backed to achieve at least playoff place over the last 4 years. Fed up with excuses that I've heard from Mowbray and others including. Just look at Huddersfield and Luton that have spend nothing compare to us and are in the playoffs right now. We need to move on from him and bring in manager who can achieve top 6/promotion within 2 seasons I have been suggesting that formation and pressing high for weeks. You didn't and wanted to stick with this false 9 and 5 at the back. Who knows what the result would have been if Brown and Johnson played but the rest of the team was what I picked and played the way I have been saying. For me, we need a new manager who will continue to play the same way and formation. The blueprint is there just need a manager to embrace and improve on it.
  19. Your owners seem to want to down that route and have got rid of the Chief Scout who Dyche had there. That's why I think they look for director of football and Head Coach from European or has a background in that and most likely in the summer.
  20. Dyche is a no for the previous reasons I have stated on here. Farke would be the first and obvious choice to replace Mowbray. He is the sort of manager we need. Grayson and Warburton are both of contract and have Championship experience meaning they would be quick appointment and not needed to wait for a manager in the playoffs chase.
  21. I think your ownership want to go down the foreign route and bring in Director of football and head coach structure plus look towards the Europe market for signings who are cheaper for you
  22. The club should be speaking to 3 potential replacements in the next few days and they are Daniel Farke, Carlos Carvalhal and Kjetil Knutsen. Given that the season starts in the last week of July, we need to proactive and make a appointment at the latest end of May and ideally would be mid May would be excellent and allow him to appoint his coaching staff and bring in a head of recruitment aswell. Just for the record this is what I would do. Hoping for Daniel Farke expecting Simon Grayson or Mark Warburton
  23. He has had more than enough backing over the past 4 seasons and He has had more than enough time to get our club promotion and its appears it will be another failure this season. Plus the losing streak every season has to end imo. You can keep sticking up for him in your want but he had more than enough backing and time here. You can keep going on about my selection of Johnson but I was right about how we should be playing and formation wise but you wanted to keep sticking this false 9 3 back formation that hasn't worked for weeks and cost us our playoff place. You can just admit that you were wrong and admit that my tactics was the same as the PNE game and what I have been asking for over 3 weeks on here and other social media sites.
  24. We played Sheffield United the game after the 7 nil defeat to Fulham where Waggott talked about it
