The January 2026 Transfer Window
chaddyrovers replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
the way he played against Millwall in his first game, he slotted in and you didn't notice that Alebiosu wasn't available. His positional was good and we clearly worked all week on his playing there. I think we could develop him for the rest of the season as right wing back/right centre back right now and next season. If we are staying back 3 formation team for longer than this season then lets develop him here. -

Fair play, I stand corrected on that He did great at right wing back and he slotted perfectly into that role, He understand that role clearly just by performances. He could have a 2 goals against Millwall. Forget the loan for me, keep him here and lets develop him here. Haha, your negative comments about young players is constant with you, you never want to allow them to develop and always very quick to mention their flaws instead of positives I suggested either Pickering or Ribeiro with the other one, staying and rotating with Hedges and if one is injured Powell can back that up. just more excuses again and again to suit your overall viewpoint -

Brandon Thomas-Asante started as a wide role at Salford before moving into a central role and now he is playing up front/number 10/wide role at Coventry under Lampard. So this guy could be the same. I would have like BTA here when he was at Salford -

With us signing a centre back short term means he probably won't get his chance in that role, But I think we should be flexible with him and has him playing either the right centre back role or right wing back role going forward, developing him is what I want. But I deffo wouldn't be loaning out Pratt or Litherland has RF99 has suggested previously -

With Ohashi who likes to run the channels, A winger who cuts in could probably that role tho I don't know anything about him apart from watching some highlights video from his spell at Hartlepool -

Firstly, I getting very bored of this sort of response to me. Not everyone shares your opinion. Pickering has played there enough under Mowbray and now Ismael. I think he is more than good enough to play that role whilst Hedges can start games at home whilst Pickering starts away. Yes I know thanks that Powell hasn't played senior football but neither had Litherland and Pratt until this season, both have been be good for us. Powell is very attacking and I see no reason why we should actually develop our own. You aren't a fan of given young players a chance, that's your position so what if Litherland isn't a natural wing back, he has more than shown he can play that role and why not develop his game, he likes getting forward even when he plays at centre back for the under 21's, So lets develop that talent. Miller plays the right wing back role for his national team. We have the option of playing Miller in either right sided role and I like that type of flexible, whilst you probably don't. I always like 3 or 4 players within a squad who can adapt and play in more than 1 position. -

thanks Maybe Rovers see him as Ohashi type striker, who will run the channels and work rate whilst allowing Gudjohnsen and another one to stay central. Just a thought. -
Dingles played better second half. Edwards looks quality tho. Fair Play to Edwards and Wolves. Good point there, defensive better and solid. Still only 3 points this season in total. West Ham and Brighton was good game. Welbeck's second pen, just put in the net for FFS. Too fancy and don't convert it. Arsenal's quality shown against Villa Chelsea and Bournemouth were entertaining Everton beat Forest. Its looks like 2 teams from 4 plus Wolves will be then bottom 3 this season Then the title race is between 3 teams. Arsenal and Man City plus maybe Villa if they get signings in.

I have addressed transfers points in the transfer thread. Don't start all this bullshit about expectations and standards again. Some people have different opinions to you We have cat 1 academy and the idea of that we produce our own players for the first team. Pratt and Litherland have come in and fitted straight into the team -

No, I have said 3 or 4 in and similar out(for weeks now) plus Garrett and Tyjon for obvious reasons. I think one striker and one centre defender is the main priority as I have said. Would like to see another centre midfielder who has some creative or can get goals I think we don't need wing backs signings as we have enough there. Alebiosu, Miller and Litherland for RWB and Hedges, Pickering and Powell for the LWB. Always the scepticism with you. He knew Gestede was there watching the Barnsley game, we didn't. Just accept that fact. He hasn't said we are signing that player but looking at him. I would expect us to be scouting players in league 1. Some good quality players at that level. He was signed to be number 8 box to box midfielder. Can we already remember he is still building his match fitness back up after coming back from Surgery. It was take time. -
How has Wissa missed that?

Travis wasn't a centre midfielder when I first watched but a right back. JRC was a left winger when I first watched him not a right back or centre midfielder. Litherland likes to get forward even when he played centre back for the under 21's. So eventually might end as right wing back or right centre back in back 3. Think developing him here is better for us and him. Same with Pratt. Tested defensively much? Litherland has been very good, he has been good going forward and defensively. He has played 3 games and we kept a clean sheet in each of them -
Newcastle 1 nil up already against the dingles 2 nil up. excellent Dingles are shocking at the back.

Lancashire Telegraph also understands that Rudy Gestede was among the representatives for Rovers at Barnsley for their match against Lincoln City on Monday night. So that's account wasn't lying @roversfan99 -

100% agree. McLoughlin looks more comfortable with him next to him than when Ribeiro was next to him -
