  1. I have no problem with any formation/s or style of play being used as long as the manager signed players that will fit that formation or style. I think playing 4-4-2 with Brereton and Gallagher up front and Dolan or JRC on the right and Rothwell on the left side could work if played corrected.
  2. Yes we now some players with Leadership and experience but if the funds aren't there for different reasons whether its the owners who want cutbacks and not willing to keep funding the club at the past 3 seasons level or FFP rules that need to meet then what can be done? Mowbray has been financially backed for the past 3 seasons whether its wages or transfer fees that he should have lost his job or at least change his staff instead. Yes I was pleased that we released the players we did. Would have prefer Johnson and Chapman to join that list aswell. Would you have been happy if we have signed a Adam Reach then who is experience? I agree that some of the Armstrong money should be invested in a suitable replacement and couple of low cost permanent signings I think you are correct to a point but I think its was Mowbray and Waggott decision to sell the training ground and when the owners found out about these plans and to downgraded the academy then stopped these plans. I do wonder why the owners have kept Mowbray and Waggott in place in what role?
  3. But the back 5 worked when we played Leeds tho so what was the difference how Mowbray played it against Leeds then against Bolton? Could we not play the back 5 when we are looking to solid and want to play on the counter?
  4. How can he further his career when he is head of physiotherapy at the club?
  5. Chris Rush has said his reasons for leaving football here https://trainingground.guru/articles/blackburns-rush-leaving-football-because-of-toll-on-family#:~:text=BLACKBURN’S Head of Athletic Performance%2C Chris Rush%2C is,Coach and then as Head of Athletic Performance. The same Salford who first team fitness coach and first team physio both walked out on the club in the past week. I wouldn't want Bowyer back into the Rovers manager hot seat despite my admiration for him. He did a good job here but we need a new manager in like Ainsworth or Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Like I said last night Mowbray should have changed his coaching staff after last season failure by getting rid of Venus and Lowe and Johnson and Barr replacing them in the first team coaching set up. Especially when you are bring through so many young players
  6. That's my understanding aswell Is that a problem not having players over 30 years old? Surely we quality players whoever they are. If Mowbray is only allow to bring in loans what can he do? It's seems the wage budget has been cut this season and the owners aren't willing to keep funding at the same level as past seasons. I have suggested potential free transfers and loans targets plus Armstrong's replacements.
  7. will we ever know the answer to this question?
  8. Has Andy Mitchell left Rovers now as Head of of Physiotherapy now? anyone heard owt? not on Rovers staff list on official website anymore Staff | rovers.co.uk
  9. Looks a quality redesigned website and looking forward to the new format. Was a shocked when I log on for the first team in 8 days to see the new design but any improved that the people who run the site is welcome in my opinion
  10. Chris Rush left Rovers cos of the demand of football on his family life
  11. Johnson not fit and who knows on Ayala fitness wise. I would play 4-3-3 formation but how will Swansea new manager set them up for Saturday game. Looking at their squad it very similar to ours lack depth wise and lack a goalscorer
  12. I agree that Mowbray, Venus and Lowe should have been replaced. even Mowbray after last season failure should have change his coaching staff and replace Venus and Lowe with Johnson as number 2 and Barr as first team coach now we lost Barr to Salford. Agree on Waggott. Not sure Tom Finn would come back even after 9 years leaving his club. He was deeply hurt by what Venkys have done and how they did it. Have you spoken to him recently? Agreed on Ainsworth coming in as manager or even appointing Damien Johnson as manager with his own 2 assistants like Rob Kelly or James Beattie(Both at Wigan with Leam Richardson now btw) I am disappointed that we haven't signed anyone yet given Mowbray's comments that Harvey leaving would not affect recruitment. If the plan is to bring through more of the young players and we can't spend money due to cutbacks from the owners wanted or FFP rules then just communicate that to the fans. But the Armstrong's money when he is sold some of it must be used to find a suitable replacement for Armstrong. You can't replace him like for like goal return wise but a replacement who can score 15 goals can be find for 3 or 4 million even less.
  13. Why do you prefer 4-4-2 and how would play it and who would be your starting 11?
  14. Very disappointed to lose Billy Barr to Salford City but he is getting a promotion and coaching the first team. Mowbray should have bought Barr into the first team coaching staff at the end of last season and got rid of David Lowe and Mark Venus. Mowbray should have appointed Damien Johnson as his number 2 with Billy Barr as first team coach. I am disappointed also to lose Simon Cooper to Stoke who was our head of youth recruitment why? can you explain why you are so envious of them?
  15. delighted for the players who played and won the final. I believe Mike Sheron was in charge of the team for game
  16. so after 8 days away on Holidays its seems like they has been very little rumours or players being linked to Rovers over that 8 days period. Got to say I am not bothered that we have missed out on Adam Reach. Not sure he improved our team. Reading Mowbray's post match comments its appear Loans from PL clubs and possible free transfers. So I would look to sign Tom Lees and Connor Ogilvie on free transfers and look to sign Patrick Roberts from Man City. I think Mowbray will target Adam Idah from Norwich on loan to replace Armstrong if he is sold. I would prefer a permanent replacement of course and I would look on someone like Tyler Walker from Coventry or Yakou Méïté from Reading. I would like Cauley Woodrow from Barnsley or Lawrence Shankland from Dundee United but not sure we will have that sort of funds to replace him with. I am also in favour of keeping Conor McBride around the first team squad and playing when required.
  17. Very true Miller11 but What do these players want wages wise and is that the only reason why they wont sign new contract like Armstrong wants PL Football
  18. gone by November I hope gone by November I hope Ben Brereton. Young player of the season 21/22- Conor McBride 14th Sheffield United or Bournemouth
  19. After being away for the last 8 days on Holidays and only reading tweets/posts on here from people who attended the last 2 games Its seems like we have no momentum going into the new season and the first game will be tough but winnable in my opinion considering the problems there at Swansea. The back 3 worked against Leeds but not today from what I have read so far. I still think its a system we should play at certain times and in some games but for me its should be 3-5-2 not 3-4-3.
  20. Here are Brereton 2 goals
  21. Looks like MK Dons manager Russell Martin will become Swansea next manager after they approach him for the 3rd time this week
  22. of course they tried but you wish to continue this negative behaviour towards the club at every opportunity. Why wouldn't they tried. But what I do know is that Dack, JRC, Buckley and Dolan have all signed new contracts in the past months got to say I wouldn't have signed many of these transfers here as they aren't going to any better than we got or fit into the tactics we will use. one of the best transfer this summer is Birmingham City signing Ryan Woods. very good midfielder has JH Rover reply to you yet?
