  1. Well he isn't wrong either. A player who hands in a transfer request, forefeits any future wage payments left on his contract. If the club says we want to sell you ala the FDJ situation at Barca, then it's different as the club has to include whatever is owed for the amount of years left on his contract..
  2. Barca only owes FDJ once he leaves, the wages that were deferred. The whole issue with FDJ, is that Barca want to sell him, but only for a fee that will allow them to pay FDJ the wages owed to him. The only club that has offered enough, is Man United who have offered 85mill. FDJ doesn't want to join United, which is causing issues.
  3. Yeh but you said the latter will never ever be successful. Plenty of players have dribbled their way successfully through defences over the years. Playing a through ball is just alot easier it seems, because you do less work to get that ball moving from your foot to the next player
  4. I just want to ask you something... Under Mowbray these last 4 or 5 years (excl league 1) what exactly have we won, with experienced players? How many playoffs and promotions did we achieve under those players? Aston Villa and a host of other PL clubs have spent a ton of money on players in the PL, and what exactly have they won with those so called quality experienced players? Is the objective just to stay in the PL, or to win trophies? West Brom, Norwich, Fulham, Bournmouth, for all their spending, have been bouncing around. We are identifying a clear plan to move the club forward, while improving our financial stability, along with sustaining the future of the club. We have brought in Sammie, Morton and Brittain to come in and compete for a place in the starting 11. There are still deals to be done, and nobody are guaranteed their place. Out of the academy players, if 1 or 2 holds down their place, because of good performances, then why should we spend money on an experienced player? If we don't believe in giving our academy players the opportunities to take that chance, then why do we have an academy? We have been in a fortunate position, that we are still able to have an opportunity, to give our youngsters the chance to impress at senior level. Even if we don't go up, but have a good season, there is the possibility that we could sell one or 2 of those players for big money, and then re invest it back into the club. You can win games with kids, maybe not all of them have to start games, but to see the fruits of our labor flourish at senior level should give us all hope that the club has a plan in place to make the club successful eventually
  5. Yeh, how much can you depend on Dack playing a full season? If there is a chance to strengthen the squad, then we have to do it. Think of the lineup later on if everybody healthy. But we can't leave this squad as it is right now
  6. $100 US Dollars for 1 shirt, excluding import taxes to South Africa lol Anybody selling previous seasons shirts? 😔
  7. Will happen a few minutes before the window closes, with us having no replacement lined up
  8. Ayala if fit, is better than Lennihan anyway.
  9. Didn't Bournemouth go on a shopping spree In January, where they made sure they would do whatever it takes to go up. We on the other hand, couldn't be bothered to improve the squad, couldn't somehow find a striker etc. We were just overall incompetent at the end of the day
  10. Concept.. Seen off Twitter by Readrovers.com Twitter account
  11. Bring back the blue shorts and socks, oh and Kappa 🔥🥰
  12. I just posted this, because I thought the Boro fans reaction in that thread, mirrored our fans reactions. I don't really have a right to question ST prices etc, because I've never been over, but I do feel for our fans, who genuinely want to get one, but can't.
  13. It's not that his confidence has gone, it's that he is one of those players, that thinks the game of football is 2nd to his lifestyle. Players who allow their lifestyle to get in the way of their football, will drop off, because they are slowly falling out of love with the game. Do we need players like that around the club? There is a positive message being portrayed by the club, a togetherness, a plan. Do we need guys like Cantwell to come in and disrupt that vibe? If he comes, we need to structure this deal, in a way that ultimately protects the club from any sort of funny business.
