I just posted this, because I thought the Boro fans reaction in that thread, mirrored our fans reactions. I don't really have a right to question ST prices etc, because I've never been over, but I do feel for our fans, who genuinely want to get one, but can't.

It's not that his confidence has gone, it's that he is one of those players, that thinks the game of football is 2nd to his lifestyle. Players who allow their lifestyle to get in the way of their football, will drop off, because they are slowly falling out of love with the game. Do we need players like that around the club? There is a positive message being portrayed by the club, a togetherness, a plan. Do we need guys like Cantwell to come in and disrupt that vibe? If he comes, we need to structure this deal, in a way that ultimately protects the club from any sort of funny business.

I should have worded this better. I should have said we need to look at players, outside of the usual places like Scotland, Ireland, Wales etc. I get work permit issues might be a problem, but our reach for players should really extend farther than just the UK. Same with our coaching staff

Thank goodness for lack of knowledge on British players. Time we look more and more outside of the UK for players, especially those from Scotland and Ireland

I think one of the things lost to many of our fans, specifically the more younger ones, is that they feel as if we are just a small town club now, and that's it. Granted that we are in relation to the bigger clubs with bigger fan bases, but this club is steeped in history. Who cares if we punched above our weight, who cares if we can't spend big money, this club shouldn't be settling for just anybody just because we are in the Championship. We are fucking Blackburn Rovers, former PL champions. The mindset of these wankers ie Venkys and Waggot, makes us believe that we should accept mediocrity every year. We shouldn't. Do we have zero ambition anymore? Have we accepted our position, as a Championship club forever? Fuck Venkys, Fuck Waggot.. any half arsed owner would have had us promoted by now.
