  1. Be giving Chapman a run out. Neither Brereton or Dolan done anything.
  2. So looking at that first half, nobody really playing well. Minging conditions. Going to be a mistake or set piece that settles this. Good test this. Last season we lose this 1-0. Let's see...
  3. Including pre season he has now missed 6 or 7 one on ones. Bizarre that he can't finish them.
  4. Cardiff have offered more going forward than we have.
  5. Not looking like breaking this lot down. Poor so far
  6. Strangely, he seems to have lost the ability to go past a man.
  7. We need the first goal here. They score and sit back they could well frustrate us here
  8. Cunningham on. He better not have a worldie
  9. Hoping Ayala has a Nelsen kind of debut and not an Ooijer one! Should relish going up against Moore.
  10. Well we've signed 5 if you're including under 23 signings. What ever suits your argument?
  11. Bournemouth look the best of the relegated sides for me.
  12. We've signed 2. Dolan wasn't signed for the first team. Ayala not kicked a ball yet. Decent on paper though. Early days for Kaminski. We were expecting 4-5 minimum.
  13. If we don't sign a left back and at least one other player, this window can't be classed as anything but poor.
  14. Interesting article in the Times talking about premier League offering EFL bail outs. "It was noted that 11 Championship sides have turned down £10 million bids this window." Synopsis being if Championship clubs can turn down that money, they don't need bailing out. Wonder if we were one of them?
  15. No, but he was more than capable there. To be fair, he'd comfortably walk into a CB slot in our current side. Seems a lack of players who can play both up front and CB these days. Used to be a few. It was interesting listening to Matt Elliott during the Leicester friendly talk about Emile Heskey. Said he was easily the best defender at the club but they needed him to play up front as he was good for them there!
  16. Fully agree however, reading the post match interview, TM referred to Dolan as keeping a '£6m player out the team'. Seems to me he'd be all too happy to shove Gallagher back out wide.
  17. Strikers are strange beasts. Armstrong's all round play has been pretty dire in these last 3 games, yet he's top of the charts!
  18. Agree with that. Dolan tracks back and had also scared the life out their wing back. When he went off, it was noticeable how their wingback attacked a lot more. Couple of occasions Chapman didn't run back or put in a half assed tackle. Chapman gong forward is decent back up but he just doesn't have the defensive side in him. It's clear as day in this system.
  19. As an aside, I do think we are benefitting on the pitch from a lack of fans in grounds. It's been poor at Ewood since the promotion season - and that was a one off positive season! If the team is in the top 6, playing this type of football when fans come back. It should lead to a reinvigorated, positive atmosphere in Ewood, which will only benefit the team.
  20. Tricky one. If they'd gone on to score, we'd be saying he could have stopped him. At 3-0 maybe he should have left him alone. But in most games I'd be happy for that kind of cynical foul to stop a chance. We've lacked that over the last few seasons.
