  1. Can't credit the Nyambe decision. Yet Del and Bell start. I can't see any tactical reason at all for that. He's probably been our best player over the last few weeks.
  2. If, as rumoured on the other thread, Nyambe isn't in the first 11, I wonder if he's subject of a bid? I can't imagine, given his contract position and the way he's started that we haven't had any offers for him.
  3. To be fair this is still pre season for Rovers, the league doesn't start 'till the transfer window closes!
  4. I hope not. That midfield gets over run.
  5. Theoretically, if (as suggested in here) we did sign a LB yesterday aft, would he be eligible to play today? *Obviously will require several weeks integration and learning the position from Bell
  6. That's what I'd go for. Similarly, as a 4-3-3 with Dack given a 'free role' in the midfield 3 but a tad deeper. System is interchangeable during the match - can also be used to go 4-5-1 when needed as well.
  7. The irony being he's taken the Coyle approach but with a different formation. At least he looks like finally sorting the defence to give it half a chance if working. Just think Travis is a huge loss. Evans/Johnson/Holtby haven't got the legs. Need a quality loan in the middle if we want a sniff of playoffs.
  8. Funny how views differ. Last place I'd play him is target man. Yes he's good as a 10 and I'd have no problem with him in midfield. The only reason people panic about him going in midfield is because our strikers are crap and don't score enough. You could never have played Lampard/Gazza etc as strikers.
  9. Am I the only one who'd rather have a left back that can defend?
  10. We need to hire whoever coaches Coventry's set pieces.
  11. Just need someone who can head a ball now.
  12. I'm not having any of that unrest argument. I noted that Bennet liked Morsy's farewell Wigan tweet. Would have been a good signing.
  13. He'd be right at home on this message board ?
  14. That article seems to corroborate several posters thoughts about loans over permanent signings. Pointless paying million pound loan fees if they aren't going to get you up. Has to be the final piece in a jigsaw or no point. Buy and develop your own. No idea of his value but the lad Pickering at Crewe looks a decent shout.
  15. Ideally he operates in a free role within the 3. That may mean no Holtby. Running with the ball from deep or arriving late in the box. As Briansol mentioned. Dack wasn't good as a false 9 up top. Just didn't work. That's if TM sticks with 433. He may well tinker things!
  16. But Dack is still a goal threat from the middle. As he was at Gillingham. We've coped without Dacks goals for a while. Putting him in the middle offers another goal scoring threat.
  17. But also the only one who can play wide. Dack said Arma cutting in from the left was how they worked best together.
