  1. I was going to post something exactly like this. Thanks for saving me the job. Spot on. For the first time since venkys arrived, there was a window of opportunity upon gaining promotion from league one. Fans engaged, positivity, venkys apparently on board financially. IMO the current management (waggott) completely ballsed up the season ticket pricing. Then Mowbray ballsed up the transfers. All momentum/positivity gone. Likely back to free transfers and the family silver being sold next season.
  2. Nice to see us throwing the kitchen sink. Season ended with Dack. And with no transfer fee - next season as good as over as well.
  3. Fuck off Bennett. School boy passing. Useless. As many predicted, we'll plummet now we flirted with play offs.
  4. Bell on for rothwell. Winger now playing on wing. ....now if we finally see Chapman...
  5. Bigger picture here. Dack was our golden goose. Selling him to invest or relying on selling him to make us FFP compliant. No one else is worth anywhere near in the squad. Not only do we lose a 15 goal a season contribution but it could well hamper our transfer spending over the next 12-18 months. We're not guaranteed to get the same player back after this injury either. So doom and gloom.
  6. Our lack of width is a real hindrance. Too many players in the middle running into each other on the edge of the area. Our 'attacking wing backs' offer nothing. Without Mulgrew our set pieces are bloody woeful. The season's peaked with that win at Bristol.
  7. Bennett needs hooking. Even the simple passes have been wayward. Buckley livelyish. Holtby disappointing so far.
  8. Been playing ten mins and still cant fathom out the system we're playing. Hopefully brum are as confused! Tony Tombola in full effect.
  9. Can't argue with much of that. There is a case for Lenihan and Nyambe but at least 3 defenders required long term. Think Butterworth from the under 23s could do a job in the Dack role.
  10. Williams is a solid defender in an emergency but his passing is awful. He just doesn't fit the style TM wants to play. Very interesting window coming up now.
  11. To be fair on Downing, he's got more pace left in his legs than Conway ever had. Could still do a job on the wing if needed. Time to start putting Chapman on the bench.
  12. We seem to lack the physicality to play Wigan. They've bullied us since league 1 -invariably getting the better of results over last 3 years. To a man though, we were poor all over the pitch (Walton aside). Downing's fabled delivery was appalling tonight.
  13. Shit game and I missed the rovers return dosh by 1. I may as well go home to bed.
  14. This last part is exactly right. Traditionally, this would be an away banker. We always find a way of blowing momentum against a struggling side on a bad run. 6 points from the next 2 games will demonstrate a Rovers side and mentality on the up. I watched the Wigan v WBA game and the pie eaters could have been out of sight. Played well. I was amazed they lost it at the end. They are playing ok and not getting results imo. Personally, I think we'll take 4pts from the 6.
  15. Great win today. Makes the Swansea point a very good one. Let's hope we dont get the usual nosebleed and put in a stinker against lowly Wigan. That would indeed be progress.
