We'd have taken a replay at kick off, but again, could've and maybe should've been more. Still, in the hat for next round and showed we can compete with supposedly better teams. Frustrating subs and last 20 minutes game management though, again.

Why dick about going to a 3-5-2? If Dack's tired, bring on Rothwell and keep the same shape. Trying to hold for a replay?

Very even, scrappy game so far. We look more likely to score from a corner / free kick, but could see Newcastle getting in down our left. They seem to ping it across towards Bell quite often in that first half. If we score first, I think it's on. Let them in and I think we'll concede a couple.

We did, they broke quickly and had more chances than us, but we had a lot of the ball in the 2nd half. We were playing pretty well until all momentum was lost with the subs. As mentioned above, they were much fitter than us too and we ran out of steam. Play like we did for much of today's game and we'll be ok. We need more attacking threat and someone else, other than Dack, who can play that killer ball. For when Dack and / or Graham aren't on form. Oh and stop playing strikers on the wings..

To me, that shows a complete lack of confidence. Not really surprising when you just get 15 minutes at the end of the game shoved out on the wing. Mowbray's in real danger of ruining him, if he hasn't already. Perhaps a spell in the U23's to get game time and that goal scoring sharpness might help? On current showings they might as well have set fire to that £7m "investment".

Not his fault we lost, but that was shocking. The lad's never a winger, so if he's not going to play upfront, leave him on the bench.

No idea. Either of those 2 on instead of Palmer would've kept us going in the Norwich players' faces and kept the pressure up. Instead we kept giving back to them and they kept coming at us. We all know we don't cope well in those circumstances. Send him back in January. Definitely not what we need in the Championship.

Very unfortunate to come away with nothing here. Momentum was lost when Palmer came on. We seem to just lose a bit of bite in midfield. Then lost more when the very ineffective Brerton came on. Didn't see anything from this latest cameo to suggest he's even remotely a £7m talent. Or ever will be. Raya, Reed and Nyambe were excellent today. Thought Bell did better too.
