  2. In Friday’s Torygraph…apparently Rich Sharpe & me were the main sources….oh & some kid called Buckley…😉
  3. Oh that’s really sad. I played the day after *that* night at Deepdale…remains to this day one of the happiest memories of my life…best £150 I ever spent… Graeme Souness lurked around waiting to be interviewed by TV & my sister grabbed this photo of him with my nephew…!
  4. ‘It’s deja vu all over again…”
  5. Here’s another perspective of that City game…worth watching to the end for a bit of sport with “Bondy”…
  6. A tragic tale was unfolding in Sheffield but at the time, all we knew was that Rovers had a new club record scorer...

  14. Very much in the bank cash wise & in the books before 30/6/21 to enable the most favourable FFP calculations.
  15. We mentioned in the video that the sale of Armstrong came after the 2021 financial year end & so will show in the June 2022 accounts. Because of this the sale of the STC was used as a sort of “bridging finance” mechanism to try avoid June 21 figures taking us outside FFP. Of course the June 21 accounts aren’t out yet so the impact is as yet unknown.
  16. I attended a Zoom call last week at which some marketing creatives talked about this & the numbers they shared (not in the public domain) regarding engagement were staggering. https://www.campaignlive.com/article/stevenage-challenge-best-bk-campaign-cannes/1720747 Stevenage shirts were being sold globally as kids everywhere attempted the Stevenage Challenge & wanted to get them to Champions League. On social media, images of Messi & Ronaldo in Stevenage shirts in the FIFA game proliferated. The club sold out of merchandise… It was the most intelligent, stimulating and thought-provoking presentation I have attended in years.
  17. TV is the single biggest contributor to income in the top two divisions. The question is how long TV would be interested in broadcasting if grounds were empty ? Well 2020/21 kind of proved that they can make it work, at least in the short-term. Be careful what you (humourously) suggest…😳
