  1. In a packed episode we meet Elliott from @DasslersCraft to learn about trainers customisation, hear an extract from Daniel Gray's excellent book "Extra Time - 50 Further Delights of Modern Football"; narrated by our Canadian correspondent Bill Arthur; and our special guest interview in Part 3 is with former Lib Dem leader & keen Rovers fan Tim Farron. Listen right to the end for a perspective of iFollow from Mr & Mrs Arthur (the Terry & June of the BRFCS podcast...), plus a special contribution from US wrestler Casanova Valentine courtesy of our friends @NYC Rovers. Thanks to Matt Hall (@nerdphonic) for the professional voiceover inserts - he is available for hire - and to Hollie & Josh for the "enthusiastic amateur" ones 🙂 Louis & Michael (or is it TM?) provided the advert for our terrific sponsors @theterracelife and The Symmetry provided the music. Hosting, editing & production courtesy @IanHerbert...I think that's it...Enjoy ! View full podcast
  2. From Matt Jansen’s ghost-writer https://www.newsandstar.co.uk/news/18879841.special-report-making-cumbrian-premier-league-star/ https://www.newsandstar.co.uk/sport/19014450.blackburn-rovers-boss-explains-moved-evertons-former-carlisle-united-star-jarrad-branthwaite/
  3. Buckley would be better served by modelling himself on players like Cowans & Sellars. You don’t need bulk to be successful....you need a technique you can rely on & vision to exploit it.
  4. Left field suggestion....make watching football flexible. A mix of live & TV viewing which can be consumed as the individual fan sees fit for a subscription. No annual renewal date, continuous direct debit. Like a mobile phone contract. The subscription buys “x” number of credits each month which are consumed in whatever way at different tariffs. Like a mobile phone....texts at one price, calls at another....data at another & so on. Have categories for TV viewing, sole attendance in person, collective attendance in person priced in such a way that attending in person with kids is the most attractive....TV is always an option but not cheaper than in person attendance except say for over 65s.... I’ve not thought this through in depth as you can see...but...over to you to tell me how it can be improved....🙂
  5. You’ve heard of away games ? 🤔 Had we won this one, we’d have gone up...🤨
  6. It sounds so simple when you express in that fashion....but in sport, it’s not “when” is it ? It’s “if”...& no matter how rich the owners, the ensuing points deduction could easily lead to another relegation. The football world is fundamentally different now than it was in 1991/2 & COVID has brought the economics of the madhouse as practised in the Championship into sharper focus.
  7. Our friends at Rovers Chat are soliciting opinions from people who want Mowbray out...some on here may wish to make contact I suspect...
  8. Bought these in Prague....prize for the first person who names all the players correctly....🤣
  9. I see a rabbit....no a duck....hang on...
  10. A couple from my Twitter archive....David Mata/Juan Dunn & Jordan Davies/Kevin Rhodes
  11. Thanks Dan...you guys do some terrific work...we should all be rightly proud 👍🏻
  12. Well 2020 was quite the year wasn’t it ? It feels massively inappropriate to be moaning about football in the context of the challenges being faced across the country right now but somehow, having a good old moan after a disappointing defeat helps restore some semblance of normality...! A lot of people have kept this site ticking over this year - we’ve done a LOT of work behind the scenes that will go largely unnoticed (except when the Like button disappears...🤦‍♂️) so thanks to Stuart, Andy (& from time to time, the old guard Glenn & Biddy) for doing what needs to be done to keep the site live & unlock some exciting new features which we will try to bring on stream in 2021. The moderators do a thankless task....it’s rare that a Mod intervention elicits praise but without their selfless work (whether or not you agree with them), the site would wither & die within days bluntly. So thank you one & all. We have used lockdown to digitise some old VHS tapes and as a result, some of our most popular (non-match related) threads have been the nostalgia-fuelled ones harking back initially to 1992-5 & then as people unearthed their own memorabilia, some wonderful artefacts have been shared. As a result, the site was approached by a documentary film company to help them to source material and use some of that shared on our YouTube channel. Our podcasts have gone from strength to strength...we tried spoofing BBC’s Fighting Talk; we met Tommy Spurr, Mark Atkins, Derek Fazackerley and Jon Stead but our most popular episode was back in July, with our very own man in the middle, Tony Leake. We have some plans to collaborate with RoversRadio in 2021 on some football/music crossover projects and Andy has some terrific ideas to introduce new content to the site, so that is all very exciting. Overall then, in the context of a simply dreadful year, we can be proud of our evolution and hope that in the manner of a winning “Britain’s Got Talent” contestant, our “journey” continues in 2021 and beyond. Thanks for reading, thanks for contributing...don’t forget we aren’t just a forum; our podcasts are here https://brfcs-podcast.brfcs.com & our YouTube is here https://youtube.com/c/BRFCSdotcom Happy New Year, take care, stay safe & most importantly...be kind. All the best 🥂
  13. Not for the faint hearted...Wemberlee here we come...
  14. The constraint is file size per posting (to stop the site being spammed basically). if you split the photos up across different posts &/or compress the ones that are larger file sizes then that should work 👍🏻
  15. There’s 11 in the photo...
  16. It’s getting “interesting” now...
