An interview really should be the absolute basic…his team has royally messed up, communicating & apologising is really PR101.

He’s done what somebody needed to do & take responsibility. I hope that internally he is consistent & doesn’t castigate someone behind closed doors. That would be a really poor show. Should he have at least offered his resignation ? Perhaps…Waggott could always have declined the offer but the risk is that it would have looked stage managed. We need leadership at this football club & frankly, for many & various reasons, SW ain’t up to the challenge. I’d be happier to see Gregg stay & Steve walk frankly.

The EFL are enforcing their rules so not likely. Rovers had negotiated terms on a £10m potential move etc so now that offer is worthless due to their incompetence. This is what I'd be looking at very carefully.

If I was O'Brien's agent I'd be taking legal advice for sure...

I’d expect their fans to “galvanise” around the issue TBH…let’s put it that way. if I was the Blues manager I’d consider using it as a motivational tool TBH. If the roles were reversed, then as a fan I’d really get behind our player for sure.

This is my personal opinion BTW (though I’ve no reason to suspect that any of the directors/mods/contributors would necessarily feel any differently) - but a message from my heart to all those Rovers fans going to St Andrews on Tuesday… Please go out of your way to acknowledge Neil Etheridge in a positive light pre-game…the Blues fans and team are going to be right up for this & it is a fabulous opportunity to distance ourselves from the actions of a moronic individual and take some of the heat out of a thoroughly unpleasant situation. The media will undoubtedly be scrutinising the visiting fans and looking for how we react…let’s show our true values. Do the right thing…there is no place for racism in society…full stop.
