  1. I think it’s potentially that’s it’s just a little anticlimactic that’s all. Earlier in the window I wasn’t clamouring for his signing however I think at this point he’d certainly improve the squad and on that basis be a welcome addition.
  2. I’d go for a strong team, no need to rest many at this point let’s get a win and some confidence. Dack is one I am unsure of as he is pivotal to us so would we want to risk him but he’s looki marginally unfit so more game time may be good. i think he’ll start both Palmer and Rothwell though with them swapping between central and out wide.
  3. Imagine he’ll get a game for them on Tuesday in the ‘whateveritscalled Cup’
  4. I think we have enough to be ok, we don’t want to be looking over our shoulders at any point though so would be lovely to have a good start and get the first win quickly
  5. Crikey it’s worrying when Chaddy expects us to be in a relegation battle....
  6. At least he’s disappointed - better than just pretending all is going to plan as some prefer to do. Need a striker in this week
  7. Really really poor first half, then a really good 30 mins followed by seeing the game out. People say not to worry about not bringing a striker in because we have time well todays game was today - before we have signed one and Graham was dead on his feet with 25 left and no replacement in sight. This will be an unpopular opinion but Travis needs a season on loan he needs to learn the game in his short spell today his decision making was bothersome although he has the attributes. Also Raya’s kicking was appalling Not catastrophic but disappointing result.
  8. Palmer off for Rothwell, he’s had a really good game for me so slightly odd
  9. Brilliant this half but two awful finishes from Graham when 1 On 1
  10. Woke up with a minute left in the half Get Arma on and get the win
  11. Arma on for Evans or Smallwood for me get some pace down the wing
  12. Very lucky we aren’t two down. Marquee signing on show for us - there’s a gazebo in the Darwen end
  13. I can’t say I’m desperate to get Brereton only because I’d never heard of him till Thursday so would be a little hypocritical to act desperate to get him now. Gallagher was decent last time round not great, problem is he got shorter when he jumped
  14. Very fair and balanced post from someone who is openly positive at the worst of times. Balance is key people, it’s ok to be disappointed if things haven’t gone as expected
  15. A relatively kind fixture for the first home game; not a bad team but for me not one of the best, we could really do with getting a win under the belt. Going for 2-0 with Armstrong and Dack goals
  16. Chaddy you don’t need to tell someone twice in a day that you used to enjoy their posts buts now they are too negative. I know we used to have the Chaddometer but as far as I know we don’t currently have a Chaddy approval system in place.
  17. One thing is for sure it hasn’t gone to Tony’s (or Chaddys not that he’d admit it) plan Early in the window the plan was to get people in before Austria - didn’t happen Then bring in 6-7 with most of them being perms with the odd loan later to supplement the squad Then 3-4 more after Armstrong mainly buys I think somebody got it wrong this summer, with the amount of cash offered today we could have got Edwards and Marriott and more and would be in a better position. Ipswich and Wigan seem to be clubs looking down but have done well in the market and will fancy themselves to do ok now. We now have to do well in the loan window but today was all too predictable The odd thing is if we brought in Armstrong today then things might seem cheerier but after the agent Benno stuff and talk from the club of a busy time then absolute radio silence today it’s a little flat
  18. So far the squad we had for the Oxford game is marginally weaker than the one we have now, I don’t know much about Rothwell but Payne seemed to be higher thought of by Oxford fans at the time, Davenport could turn into a real player but unknown at this point, Palmer replaces Antonsson and Chapman and Armstrong is still Armstrong. A striker and two pacey wingers were the obvious need, Armstrong is one but we are massively short in that area and up front, last season Graham looked ok but tiring against league one defenders in no way can we go through the season with him as the main man. People say we now look to the loan window but so do many other teams we should have had that striker in before last Saturday. A C for me so far. Chapman and Gallagher or better with permanent clauses built in and that becomes a B+
  19. Are we near the Z list yet? Surelt Zizou is finally coming
  20. Disappointing if that’s that, we haven’t improved the first team; yes I know the loan window exists but we clearly wanted permanent deals and as of yet haven’t strengthened the first team on last season much if at all
  21. In my world with all the hidden posts we are on page 505!
  22. But for that money you used to get 5 Jordan Slews - is he that good?
  23. I think it’s going to be Gallagher and Chapman on loan after their clubs see deals through. Be happy if they are with a view to perm deals
