My wife took the kids down, had a great morning and the boy got signatures and pics with all the players. Stuff like this is great, truth be told he’s not hugely into football but events like this can help build that next generation of fans and give them new heroes. Well done to all involved with setting up

Excited for this, love opening day, just really hope I’m not deflated at 2pm, seeing Smallwood and Evans with Bennett at right back would be a blow. Feel confident of a rare opening day win though

Seems the FA are protecting Bolton a lot more than Bury who they seem to want to clamp down on. Amazingly Bolton fans think the FA are harsh on them and shouldn’t dock more points for the fiasco last season -

Whenever he’s played in our reserves he’s scored goals, he’s nabbed a few in the first team as well. He has a knack for it, he’ll get scruffy goals, off his face, arse or otherwise, that’s a gift that’s great for a striker to have. Could easily see him hit double figures with a season in league one -
I like Rich, think he does a good job, he’s been open saying it’s a big gamble for Mowbray to sell Raya and replace with a loan but it wouldn’t be worth his while to go against the club too much, and it’s not like at the moment we need hard hitting stories
-
I think he probably has been asked by the club not to leak them so holds them until others release the info, very much the mouthpiece of the club

Two more for Nuttall including a nice free kick, the boy knows how to score goals
-
Yet you haven’t seen fit to mention any? 1-0 at halftime Armstrong again This tweet from Rich gave me flashbacks of the PNE horror: Should be 1-1. Gallagher loses the ball on halfway and after Travis and Lenihan collide in an attempted challenge, it falls to Gnanduillet who skies it unmarked from eight yards (0-1)

Wharton signed a new deal and gone on loan Firstly surprised he got a new deal I expected him to go, also seems he hasn’t pushed on in the last year or two so hope this spell helps

Nixon reckons Boro In for Bola at Blackpool, last year of his contract and would have been a decent option for us
-
100% this Criticism of him last season was tame and justified, we all hope he comes good though I hate when people are so focused on being right they can’t just enjoy what’s good, seen too often on here

The twitter account for the gay championship player who was going to come out today has been deleted, all a hoax

2 for chappers

Very meh signing, hopefully he’s a good un but I was expecting this was the back up option so hopefully a solid number one will be here as well
-
Walton confirmed on twitter so that’s one of them announced
-
That’d be decent maybe we’d get some form of Home Bargains megastore at Middlebrook
-
Thanks to Tony Mowbray and everyone at @Rovers for allowing me to train with them for the past few weeks. Was great to play and score a few goals. I wish them all the best this season. I’m now ready for my next challenge.

Sounds like Sam Hart could have played himself into the seasons plans, pleased for him it seems he developed in his last loan spell

As football fans of a similar sized club, with erratic owners this is terrifying. Its the kind of stuff you always think won’t come to pass but it could be unfolding in front of us. Whether we like them or not, if they laughed when we got relegated, are in Lancashire or not, there’s a real chance a football club, one that’s spent considerable time in the top division, who families have supported for generations, grandads, dads, sons and daughters, their club could cease to exist. Imagine if happened to us, football is so ingrained in our lives that it’s part of our daily, weekly and annual schedule, it would be like losing a limb- 694 replies

Good for Nuttall, hope Kee is ok hasn’t he been pretty open about mental health struggles in the past?
-
Fantastic, if you get a goal you want it to be through strong work by Rothwell, Brereton and Travis, two of them proving they should be starting and Brereton pushing on
-
It’s an uninspiring line up, Bennett obviously in there and Evans as well

Too late, article 1875 has been invoked and Chadreturn - ‘The Chaddening’ is happening (he won’t come back though)
