  1. Well we are as good as through if we beat Panama, and i would fancy our chances against Colombia or Poland (or Senegal / Japan) Of course in the quarter finals there is the potential of a Brazil or Germany but neither may make it that far themselves
  2. We’ll top this group, I think we’ll at least get to the quarters then it’s anyones game!
  3. Johnny on the spot does it again, he’s been poor all game and scored two
  4. We look capable of mistakes at the back.
  5. Alli and Maguire look half fit
  6. Kane getting manhandled again
  7. Reminds me of Rovers at times, an easy game, coasting then Maguire messed around at the back and gave them a chance and they got their peckers up then we gift them a penalty. Think we’ll win but we need to learn from mistakes.
  8. Surely not a penalty edit - replay shows that Walker was an idiot as Young was earlier
  9. Shame for their young keeper he had a great start
  10. Say it quietly but we look as good as anyone so far
  11. No worries i was worried I was behind and we were due to come under pressure
  12. You know england are in red right?
  13. Striking how much more likeable the England team is without Gerrard and Rooney and co in there
  14. Interestingly I noticed the club replied to Chaddy on twitter saying they are processing seat moves and a few direct debits then will release numbers. I thought they didn’t normally do that, not sure why they would announce a figure unless it’s a lot higher than expected.
  15. That’s a key thing it’s not always about if it’s been seen, everyone has seen the France penalty many times now and still people have differing opinions. Whats interesting is we haven’t yet seen the reverse as in a penalty being given softly and then reviewed, are referees being harsher knowing that they have a get out of jail card?
  16. One thing I don’t like about VAR is the fact the linesman is less likely to flag for offside now as it may be reviewed upon a goal. However it it indirectly leads to a goal via a corner etc then no review will take place and the offside allowed to be ignored. Still stuff to work out but so far it’s been decent overall
  17. VAR nailed it again just now
  18. I thought the obvious difference was that touch totally took the ball away from the attacker whereas the French one if (and it’s a big if) the defender touched the ball it didn’t change the course of it and the attacker still could have got it when he was then brought down Not sure there’s been a big decision wrong yet for me although I accept Arbito knows the rules far better than I
  19. We were first linked a week or so ago then Nixon picked it up, always a little more likely when Nixon isn’t the one to come up with it. He’ll still arrogantly claim it as his own though. Dont know much about him myself.
  20. £3m from season tickets still sounds like a lot when you consider that there’s probably a few hundred free under 8s in the family stand and then a lot more concessions including loads of under 21s which are half the price and then a lot of senior tickets at around £200 I think £2m is more likely which is whittled down by matchday costs as well
  21. Certainly true although I think we showed little respect to the checkatrade last time we were in it in the championship. Would have been nice for the youngsters to be involved though
  22. Rovers flop Niko Kalinic sent home for refusing to come off the bench for Croatia after sulking about not starting. May he rot on the bench for the rest of his career, tosser.
  23. Really interested to see what the new, statistical approach means, wonder if there will be less focus on trials and such and more players targeted based on set metrics. The first solid links will be interesting.
  24. With all due respect Chris it’s not down to you to decide what should and shouldn’t be decided factors for other people.
  25. I have to admit the price increase took it from a no brainer to something to consider, as above not the price alone making it unaffordable just the feeling of it not being such a good deal. The shine of last season is naturally starting to fade a little so let’s hope we soon have some excitement building with some signings that show ambition. Not sure so many would renew in a years time if it’s a drab relegation battle along with another increase, now is the time to try and keep ‘moving forward’ at least in relative terms.
