Summer transfer window 2021.
LDRover replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Alex Pritchard was a standout performer at this level a few years ago. Mowatt is better than any of our midfield now and Steve Cook would give us strength of mind and body at the back. -
I'm right with you but only if you hard boil then first.

Mowbrays Successor

There are those, that after 10 shitty years, are still willing to give the owners the benefit of the doubt. Surely, a failure to remove the Coventrio after this clusterfuck of a season would remove that? -

Yep. Mind bending just about covers it. -
I remember Chris Wilder ripping into an interviewer last season when told his team had worked hard saying that's a given for any team and he wouldn't be going overboard on the fact they just tried hard.

Hmmm.... On a slightly related note, got a bit of grief off an irate Mercedes driver on the way to work the other day. The guy took offence to my correct use of the outside filter lane as he tried to sneak through on the inside lane off the M55 at the Kirkham junction. The guy really needed to 'get real'.

One would have to assume that he is shite. -

The one thing that Sam generally does in these fire fighting missions is tighten up at the back. For some reason he couldn't do that this time and I don't think his players are that bad. I would've backed him to turn West Brom around this season, the fact he hasn't makes me wonder if he has lost his way a little. -
There's no way this club should be lining up in any game next season with the black hole of tactical acumen in the dugout.

That suggests we've 'gone for it' before? I must've missed that. -

I've seen quite a bit of Clucas and, in my humble opinion, he's shite. -

Loved his interview yesterday. Talked on the need to push on and go back to back. About growing the club, getting everyone around the club united and wanting to see kids with Bolton shirts on rather than City and United in the town. -

And Stewie D combining it with his new roles of reserve team coach and head of the community trust. -

That's one of the most disheartening posts I've ever read.

To be fair, this results based lark will still see him sacked before performance based Tone.

Cement, slow build, transfer windows, no foundation to speculation he's being sacked. The clues are there..... -
Have I missed something? Is Downing getting a coaching job at Ewood?
-
Crowds returning? You will be if Mowbray is still in charge.

Yeah, good player is that Brittany Assombalonga. -
You off on the Tolkein trail Merce followed by a bottle of vino collapso at the Shireburn?
-
I really like the guy. I take onboard that his achievements as a manager can be downplayed but I just have a gut feeling he has something about him that will work for us.
-
I've seen you fighting the good fight Pete, good on you. To be fair, their insistence on deflecting any blame from Mowbray is bordering on some kind of illness.
