  1. Should be safe but you don't want to be going into the final game with any possibility of going down, even if that chance would require freakish results.
  2. I think Series 3 of Game of Thrones has gone downhill from last season, though there is still time to recover. A pretty slow season so far and the various plots at times appear to be all over the place.
  3. Millwall still have something to play for as they aren't mathematically safe yet but a win would achieve that. If we were at home then I would fancy us to get a point or if we were lucky sneak a win but away at their place I can only see a defeat. Man of the match once again will be Danny Shittu's head as we hoof it at him in a 2-0 win for Millwall.
  4. Very sad news. I didn't know him personally but greatly valued his contribution to the forum. My condolences go out to his family and friends during this most difficult time.
  5. My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. My mother is currently undergoing treatment for the same type of cancer so I can relate to an extent what her family must have gone through these years. Cancer is a truly dreadful disease, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Rest in Peace Emma.
  6. Looking forward to the new series of Red Dwarf on Dave tonight at 9pm.
  7. Went to see Prometheus this afternoon, I went there with an open mind after hearing and reading some of the mixed reviews about the film. I didn't go into the cinema with any major expectations that the film would be up there with Alien or Aliens because let's face it they are two of the greatest Science Fiction movies of all time. We went to the 2D showing. Visually it was stunning as you would expect with a great visual director like Scott, and we had no regrets about deciding not to see the 3D showing. Plot wise it had some holes, I think that was partly because Scott wanted to leave a lot of questions open (his plan depending how well the film does is to do two more films that will lead into the events and setting in Alien). I thought Fassbender was really good and Rapace got better as the film went on. Overall both of us that went enjoyed the film, sure it's not as good as Alien or Aliens, but not much is. I hope it makes a big profit so that Scott can get the go ahead to make another film, I would be really interested to see where he would take it next. Yeah that's what we did beerwins. Alien and Aliens were truly great films and it's so hard to match those heights. If people go in there and think it will be as good or there will be clear links between the films then they are bound to end up disappointed.
  8. Alan Shearer still numb and in shock over Gary Speed's death
  9. Very shocked and stunned by the news. Tragic loss to his family and the world of football.
  10. scottread16 Scott Steve kean confirms board decision to release john jenson. More on @bbclancashire tonight from 6 http://twitter.com/#!/search/steve%20kean Who to believe?
  11. Let's say for argument sake that Jensen may have played a large role in our poor results (something I find very hard to believe) well what does that say about our manager? The manager is the number 1, he makes the final decisions when it comes to tactics and team selection. If an assistant made poor decisions it's up to the manager to spot them and change them. It's not like Rovers have been playing poorly for just one game, it's more like 30. Smells like bullshit to me if that is indeed the reason why he has had to go.
  12. I agree totally. Managers 'live or die' by their results on the pitch and in Kean's case he should have been buried a long time ago.
  13. Well Kamy on twitter reckons Kean is going nowhere and Jensen is being blamed for results.
  14. If the talk of a DOF is true he will have a new 'human shield' soon.
  15. Dream scenario? Kean gets sacked this afternoon after Jensen's departure. New manager comes in with backroom staff today. Worst case scenario? Kean remains in any position.
  16. Went to see the new Planet of the Apes film on Tuesday, went with my parents as my Mum was starting her first chemo treatment on Wednesday so we wanted to get her out of the house/relaxed. Overall I thought the film was good with Franco, Lithgow playing good parts and Serkis doing a stellar job as he did in LOTR with the motion capture stuff. When you see films that have had a lot of CGI done it sometimes detracts from the film as it's either too over the top or the quality of the CGI is poor. I thought the CGI work was pretty good and blended well into the film.
  17. Most of the ones I would recommend have already been mentioned. Dexter is another worth looking at, after the first episode you will probably be able to decide whether you want to stick with it or not.
  18. Looks like it: http://fbbarcelona.blogspot.com/2011/02/barca-b-rochina-transferred-to.html Though he would have to play pretty well for Barca to consider buying him back.
  19. Cracking goal, pretty decent link up play by our top scorer as well.
  20. I'd agree with those who think Aliens was better than Alien, though both are fantastic films and up there with some of the best films ever made.
  21. I must have been really tired last night to not even notice that cn174 posted about Dortmund and their success this season a few posts before me. Like I said in my previous post they have some top class youngsters in their team right now, just hope that the likes of Bayern who have a record of snapping up young promising players will leave them alone. This side could be a real force in Europe next season if they can keep that team together.
