  1. Isn’t his nickname “Burnley Bob” ? 😉
  2. It's the only course of action which may achieve the goal we all want. As good as something like the "Pasha out" banner is, the chances are Venkys will hear nothing about it. They will definitely hear about poor season ticket sales.
  3. Yes, it would be a smile of sheer relief, but it's still only a draw when all's said and done. Let's see what happens on Saturday when we're away against a team with plenty to play for, and on a decent run of form.
  4. They won’t be able to cover up the real attendances next season.
  5. What time’s the open top bus tour tomorrow? A 2-2 draw in the basket case derby.
  6. Except it wasn’t, and I have clearly stated that I have no problem with people attending. I wouldn’t have used that wording had it not been levelled at myself.
  7. How you can deduce that I'm judging from my reply I have no idea. I was responding to someone accusing me of being "in with Waggott and Venkys" by not attending. I would suggest to you that opening gambit is more worthy of intervention. I've no problem with people continuing to attend, but it's a fact that continuing to buy tickets and spend money at the club is helping to maintain the status quo.
  8. You’re in with Waggott and Venkys if you buy tickets or spend money inside the stadium. The days of big protests at matches are over, because the attendances aren’t big enough, and a lot of the people who still attend won’t participate anyway. Shift permitting, I might go on against Watford, for old time’s sake.
  9. A win and Waggott, Suhail and Gestede will be booking an open top bus parade 😉 Such is my level of detachment, I’m not even going to watch on TV. Couldn’t care less about the result.
  10. The atmosphere has become toxic again, and that is the fault of the owners and their hired goons, not the supporters, who have every right to voice their dissatisfaction. It’s clearly gone way beyond “just get behind the lads”. To all intents this season is now over, so the results are largely immaterial anyway. If the team starts brightly tomorrow, I’m sure that will give the fans (or what’s left of them) some encouragement, in turn that will generate a better atmosphere. If they start in the same manner as the last two home games, the atmosphere will again inevitably turn sour. The discontent within the stadium is clearly not aimed at the players, anyway, and I think they realise that. They are highly paid professionals, not schoolboys. The current anger is not the fans fault, so feel free to clap and cheer, which you have every right to do, but don’t blame others for venting.
  11. We won’t be in the mire this season whatever happens on Tuesday. In fact if we win it might mean Ismael dining out on it, and that’s not a good thing.
  12. Too late. No longer enough people attending to make an effective protest within the stadium (see Friday). For the number of people who would actually take part, it wouldn’t get noticed.
  13. Honestly, I don’t why you’re allowed to behave like this on here. You don’t debate like an adult. You are writing figments of your own imagination and claiming I have stated these as my own views. I know why your conduct has worsened in recent days. You’re as upset as the rest of us about the situation, but instead of hitting out at the culprits, ie the owners, Suhail and Waggott, you take it out on fellow supporters, whose views have the audacity to differ from your own. You’re also upset about Ismael being hopeless, because you couldn’t understand why some of us believed he was a poor appointment, and have been proven right, (unfortunately ). I could’ve been on here rubbing your nose in it about that, but chose to rise above it. I’m asking you one last time to stop with your provocative and unnecessary quote posts. If you want to have a sensible, respectful debate, no problem, but leave the puerile aggravation out. Thank you.
  14. Obedience : “Complying with or submissive to authority “. I think that covers what I meant quite nicely. You are splitting hairs.
  15. Agreed, but we’re now back to 2012 levels of toxicity , and because we’ve hired a clown of a head coach, the product on the pitch now mirrors the shenanigans off it. That means it needs the players to start games strongly to get the fans behind them. As we are only too well aware, that hasn’t been the case recently, (for obvious reasons). To the contrary of what I’m being accused of, (by one individual ), I have no problem with fans “getting behind the lads” at all, but the current circumstances make that a very naive concept. The atmosphere in the stadium will not improve until the ownership changes. We’ve gone past the point of no return.
  16. You still get stared at if you join in the protest chants in the Jack Walker Upper. Where I sit, there was me and one other guy giving it some on Friday, and that was it. I'm afraid that many of those who had the stomach for a fight have decided to stop paying good money after bad, and found others things to do. Of the paltry number of attendees left in the ground, many are oblivious and just sit there obediently. That is the reality.
  17. What’s it like living in cloud cuckoo land? There was no clapping and cheering last night because it was abysmal from start to finish. Good luck finding one of my posts in which I’ve criticised people for backing the players and wanting them to win. That’s completely different from being a sanctimonious happy clapper, who thinks you are only a ‘proper’ fan if you smile and clap no matter what. Now do me and everyone else a favour and stop with your puerile and provocative quote posts.
  18. Just get behind the lads FFS (even though they’re going through the motions for their bucks). Exhibit ‘A’ of the typical supporter who attends home games next season. Almost as annoying as the idiots running the club.
  19. As per last night, there simply won't be enough people in the stadium to make it effective. Many of those who still attend are happy to tolerate it. Some are even inverted snobs who seem to enjoy it - "I'm a better supporter than you". There will be some organic chants of protest, and probably the throng of teenagers on the Blackburn End, bouncing up and down and keeping the Police on their toes.
  20. Battle of the basket cases. Who can be less arsed will be key to the result.
  21. Context - Glen has tweeted that he’s not defending Waggott, but pointing out the need to only tweet / post what is factually correct, so we are not dragged down to the club’s level.
  22. The counter argument would be "never judge a book by it's cover", but in this case "what you see is what you get"!
  23. What a tit, and evidently a f*cking thick one at that.
  24. They will probably end up giving him the job. The zombies will like that.
