  1. I think a major reason that hasn't happened is the squad is dire.
  2. The only thing any supporter should be saying to Waggott is “resign “, before walking out. We shouldn’t appease these people at all. They have nothing but contempt for us.
  3. It’s beyond farcical, and to read posts saying it’s “unlucky” that he got injured in his first game for us beggars belief.
  4. To a point, eg if we are losing but still in the game. If things go badly wrong (hopefully they won’t) it will kick off, no matter how small the crowd.
  5. It will ‘kick off’ organically if things go badly on Tuesday. It will kick off between myself and the bloke behind me if he describes the “Venkys out!” chant as “brainless” again, as he did v Stoke.
  6. Agreed, whilst I don’t think he’s as big a tosser as Waggott, that isn’t really saying much. Broughton has been learning on the job which, added to the ongoing cost cutting, was never going to end well. Paul Senior MK II.
  7. I said at the time that Travis leaving reminded me of the season Sherwood left. It was simply a ridiculous move to sanction.
  8. We’ll sign him after he gets ousted at the General Election 😉
  9. But it didn't happen to anyone, it happened to a player who has hardly been fit enough to kick a ball all season. Put it down as a relatively cheap gamble that hasn't come off, but this outcome always looked likely.
  10. Yes, it just appears to be a lot more proactive in the technical area, rather than just sitting watching the game.
  11. Very early days, and players generally up their game in a big one off occasion, but the signs are that Eustace and the staff he has brought in look capable of getting more out of these players than his predecessor.
  12. Agreed, but it often doesn’t pan out that way, and our squad is weak. It’s been a very creditable effort.
  13. Exactly. This came up in discussion this morning. In modern football the bench is as important as the starting eleven.
  14. Blimey, I wish I shared your confidence! We are in a battle and it could get very tight.
  15. Yes, Waggott was all pious about it when talking about the deal with a vaping company 🙄
  16. I think that chance had probably gone by the time he finally left, and he probably sees an international gig as a good way of rebuilding his reputation. Also, he won’t have a berk like Broughton choosing his players.
  17. The problem is, a few of that core of players are always likely to be injured at any one time, and the quality of the bench is crucial in modern day football, especially with games coming thick and fast.
  18. But better to draw all four than lose them, which was the reality under JDT this season. I think draws against Preston and Norwich are creditable, but we need to be beating the teams around us……
  19. ........when we are struggling to beat Champonship clubs. I really fear a couple of hours of torture, here, and we don't know what sought of team will be put out.
  20. I wouldn't be surprised if Stoke sacked Schumacher and brought Allardyce in.
  21. It doesn’t matter how many points we get, if Eustace keeps us up his appointment will have been successful in the short term. He’s not exactly cutting down trees, but there are hopeful signs. Only time will tell. JDT didn’t want to be here (can’t entirely blame him) and the change had to be made. I think we looked like relegation on a stick towards the end of his tenure.
  22. Well I had us down as losing at Preston and again today, so you never know. I think both were good results, but we definitely need to be beating the likes of Millwall and Plymouth at home.
