  1. I’m sure Friday night will be “lively”, (and therapeutic), but thereafter, short of getting a match suspended or abandoned, I’m afraid I still believe the only other avenue that will have any effect is “not a penny more”. Do people really believe that wearing a different coloured scarf, a protest T shirt, or holding up some cards is actually going to achieve anything? Even if you are going with the intention of protesting, by purchasing a ticket you are helping to maintain the status quo. I might be in the minority, but I don’t even really care about the club’s level of communication. That wouldn’t really matter if it was being well run at the coalface , and with owners who cared. As it is , the poor communication / blatant lies just add salt to the wounds. Looking forward to Friday. Well done to Glen and everyone else involved for their efforts in putting such great pressure on the hired goons.
  2. Yes, I’ve had to turn it off 😡 In a year or two it’ll only be numpties like him who attend.
  3. They look like a dodgy regime which has just seized power in some godforsaken country.
  4. Which would be something, but they are likely to be replaced by three more of the same low calibre. In your opinion, is there any chance enough pressure can be exerted to make the owners think about selling up?
  5. Talksport = red top radio. A load of hot air, preaching to the sort of folk who believe the shite they spout. Zero credibility.
  6. I’m not being funny, but the “only ‘x’ points from the Play Off positions”, has been a recurring illusion over recent seasons. If we were 7th, and there was only one team to catch, that would be a different type of equation, (although even then our current form would make it highly unlikely). There are now several teams between us and 6th place, and even if our form was suddenly to change, not all of those sides above us will have a dodgy run. The only blessing is that, thanks to Eustace and his staff, we are not in danger of relegation. Fast forward 12 months and I expect things will look much bleaker for us.
  7. You could send him a “friendly” text 😉
  8. My interpretation is ,"Turn up and give them Hell", and that works for me 🙂 Given it might be my last time in the ground for years, I can't wait for Friday to come around.
  9. This is why it was so important for Suhail to be targeted. He is the main man, and the ignorant / uninformed needed to know that. Many more people will now know who he is and about his strategic role at the club.
  10. Give it a rest. When we appointed Ismael it was obvious to some of us that he was a poor appointment. Im not interested in your petty bickering contests and point scoring. Wake up and smell the mustard. We don’t just need a new head coach , we need new owners for anything to change from this constant cycle of doom. Hope you enjoy all us naughty people making our feelings clear on Friday evening during the dead rubber of a game, (for us).
  11. Or, hey, I know this is quirky, but how about stumping up for one of the decent managers who was available when we appointed this no - mark?
  12. You watch Boro come flying out of the traps at 20:00 on Friday.
  13. and the bare stats don’t tell the full story. The amount of time in post (ie not much) and circumstances / situation preceding Ismael’s sackings at WBA and Watford should also have been scrutinised by our clown show. Add to that, he never looked to be the right fit for us, anyway, especially to follow on from Eustace. Chalk and cheese. We really needed a well respected, senior figure until the end of the season , to give us the best chance of success, and then re-assess. The only other logical alternative would’ve been to go for someone whose star is rising. Ismael ticked none of the right boxes, and the long contract was the cherry on top of the shit cake. The only positive is that his utter uselessness has brutally exposed how bad things really are, and has brought things to a head again.
  14. “Sales between 10:00 and 10:05 on the first day of sales were up on last season”. They will scrape the barrel to try and put a positive spin on it.
  15. Come on, JH, you know full well there is no chance of an adequate level of investment being made between now and August. I'm sorry if folk don't like reading it, but anyone who buys season or match tickets is helping to prop up this failing regime.
  16. One measly win certainly won't get me excited. There's more chance of me landing on the Moon in May than there is of Rovers qualifying for the Play Offs.
  17. We could do with hiring Led by Donkeys to take control of the information screens / scoreboards within the stadium.
  18. I'll be pleasantly amazed if he's not here in August. As for the transfer targets, they will be chosen by 'tools down' Gestede.
  19. Agreed, and it’s already happened with many people who used to attend.
  20. I like the idea of a full ground voicing their dis -satisfaction with the owners and their hired goons. Will it happen? Not a scooby's. The inevitably dire attendance will make the point almost as well. Have a look at the comments under the club's Facebook advert for the match. The tide has definitely turned and the majority are going to start voting with their feet.
  21. Agreed. We’ve guaranteed Ismael a wad that will set him up no matter what. For those expecting his early departure , I fear you may be in for shock. The only way I could see that happening is a mutual agreement, but he’s not going to forego three years of wages.
  22. Fair play to Gibson for sticking by Carrick during a very sticky spell. For what it’s worth, I think that Eustace would’ve done the same with even a modest amount of investment in January. If Boro score first, the atmosphere will become toxic very quickly. I don’t feel like attending because the season is dead for us, but I’ll go as it might be my last visit to Ewood for a good while. I’m definitely boycotting home games from next season.
  23. No need. If we pay him off he can retire.
  24. Agreed, it’s the only time he doesn’t lose matches.
