  1. Last time we had a DoF we got relegated, and this time history is threatening to repeat itself.
  2. and the average Joe in our ever decreasing attendances will swallow it all whole. Pathetic.
  3. The bullshitometer will be registering off the scale.
  4. That’s big of him, seeing it’s more than a month away! Our motley crew of hired goons have obviously closed ranks re - the MacGuire fiasco. Just carry on as normal 🙄
  5. Yes, where indeed, and still no-one has come forward to take responsibility for the MacGuire fiasco. If no-one is sacked for it, I will definitely be erring towards it being sabotage.
  6. That’s football fans for you. Lose on Saturday and they will be calling Mowbray. Like JDT, Eustace has to work with “the tools” he has been given by Broughton (currently invisible). He can hardly come out and say, “God, this squad is shit”, can he? He has to try and instil some confidence.
  7. Come off it, he’s only CEO to tick a box with the EFL. Waggott is a hired goon.
  8. Exactly. Who appointed him and continue to employ him as CEO?
  9. It was crap, like it has been for much of the season. If we go down Eustace obviously shoulders some of the responsibility, but it’s certainly not all on him. That’s our sixth consecutive away defeat, which puts it in context. We are a mess, and the squad is crap. The squad is bugger all to do with Eustace. One of Broughton’s “great” signings could and should have got us out of jail at the death.
  10. Seriously, what sort of thing do you expect a new head coach to say when starting a new job? You are clearly miffed at JDT taking the fall for our situation, which I can understand, but it’s not fair to take that out on Eustace. Like JDT, he is working in difficult circumstances, but at least give the bloke a fair chance.
  11. Our situation certainly wasn’t all on JDT, but equally it isn’t suddenly all on Eustace. We look like a struggling side, which, bar one result against an awful Stoke side, is exactly what we are. It’s simply about cobbling enough points for survival.
  12. Thank you . From some of the posts on here you’d be forgiven for thinking we were flying prior to Eustace’s arrival.
  13. “My job is to coach the team and get as many points as possible”. Well, John, the latter would certainly be a refreshing change of priorities for the club.
  14. Gregg keeping a low profile since the latest debacle. Wonder when he'll re-appear to weave some more spin?
  15. Whether there is money for transfers or not, Eustace is Head Coach, so, like JDT, he will not be responsible for buying and selling players. I think it’s fair to say that JDT had little say in transfers.
  16. It wouldn’t be a shame but it won’t happen, even if he has been promised a big budget.
  17. Warnock would've been a good stopgap appointment, but very hard to imagine Broughton being interested, (would probably feel threatened by his experience and personality). For me, Neil is damaged goods and his career has already peaked a good few years ago at Norwich. Eustace kept Brum afloat under similar circumstances to what he has come into here, and his star still has the potential to rise.
  18. That has absolutely nothing to do with either man's abilities as a head coach. Good players don't necessarily make good managers, and vice versa. I liked JDT and don't blame him for this season, but he does have a relegation on his coaching CV, which is conveniently never discussed.
  19. Along the same lines as JDT, seems he been allowed to bring one, his assistant Matt Gardiner.
  20. Forgive my lack of IT skills (I’d fit in well at Rovers) but David Anderson of the Mirror has tweeted that Eustace has accepted the job.
