  1. Quite possibly, (and please don’t shoot the messenger 🙂), but Coyle knew the Man United cup tie was his last game, so there is a precedent. Something definitely isn’t right.
  2. He isn’t manager he’s been relieved of his duties along with his assistant following tomm game. JDT agreed to take the team for the game and signed a none disclosure agreement to keep quiet about the financial issues at Rovers. Posted by someone on twitter.
  3. Well if JDT does appear on Sky this evening, it will be very interesting to hear what he says.
  4. Agreed. Although they didn’t ban JDT from speaking to the media, that decision effectively silenced him. There is definitely something in that.
  5. So he refused to take part in the usual pre-match press conference ?
  6. I’m not sure it can be described as a “nothing story” if the head coach has been prevented from speaking to the media, or is refusing to speak to them. Either would suggest that all is not well.
  7. That would be ironic if they sacked him after telling him loads of porkies. I dread to think who, if anyone, is lined up to replace him.
  8. IF he's fit. Hardly played this season, and the Yorkshire Post reports that he's been beset with injury problems.
  9. Spot on. Not exactly the Brentford or Brighton model. I can't believe there are people who actually believe the Wharton money will be spent in the Summer. So we will start from scratch, begging and borrowing.
  10. Alas, they are, but they are naive, thick and have an inferiority complex.
  11. I’m sure it will be bitter sweet for Adam. I’m also sure that Rovers were encouraging him towards the exit door because of our financial plight. I do think it’s a good move and the right size of club for him to have a real opportunity of establishing himself in the Premier League. The big clubs have a habit of gobbling up young players and then spitting them out on loan to the Championship, over and over again. Good luck to him for the future. Lets be honest, he’s better off away from our madhouse, which is a very sad thing to have to say.
  12. There were too many reports of the Maguire deal collapsing, including Elliott Jackson, who is not renowned for sticking his neck out unless something has been confirmed to him. I agree, there are other factors at play, and transfers are never done until they are done, but the chaotic nature of Blackburn Rovers is fully exposed each and every transfer deadline day.
  13. I would trust what the media report more than I trust how Rovers will spin it, and that really is saying something. Too much smoke for there to be no fire. We have form.
  14. I suspect that is being extremely kind to Rovers. We have form for this kind of thing. Even now it seems as if we are playing for time. Why are further negotiations needed when we were told it was all agreed in principle, before we pulled the plug? We sabotage our own transfer deals.
  15. It's one of the most frustrating things about it. A lot of our fans are like the living dead.
  16. Wednesday are as much a basket case as we are, and, amazingly, even more likely to get relegated.
  17. Or they believe the lazy, ignorant soundbites of commentators when we are on live tv, eg "Venkys are pumping £x million into the club every year".
  18. Yes, "Just get behind the lads, FFS, we'd never survive without Venkys".
  19. Last year O'Brien, this year Maguire, next year, who knows? and yet there are Rovers supporters popping up on my 'X' feed making excuses and trying to normalise it.
  20. All our issues ultimately lead to their door, but the type of people they have employed at the club during their tenure also reflects their ignorance and negligence.
  21. And there you go. It doesn't matter who is employed to run football operations at the club, the owners simply run roughshod over them as and when they wish to. How can anyone think they are doing right for the club and not want them gone?
