  1. No offence but a midfield of Travis and Rothwell would leave us wide open. Travis works best with someone who will sit in, like Evans.
  2. You can get away with chopping and changing when it gets results (a la Bristol City) but more often than not it's never worked, and today was no exception. More points dropped against another of the division's weaker sides.
  3. Has he learned the seriousness of football yet?
  4. Ehhhh, not sure it was top ten “guaranteed”. We were incredibly jammy that Dunn managed to stay injury-free at the backend of that season.
  5. Walton Nyambe Lenihan Tosin Bell Chapman Johnson Holtby Rothwell Gallagher Brereton Subs: Leutwiler, Bennett, Williams, Travis, Downing, Armstrong, Graham
  6. The pace and intensity of the modern game and its training methods is higher than it was 40 odd years ago. It makes for better athletes but increased susceptibility to niggles and injuries. Today’s players generally cover more ground than the oldies did.
  7. You flagrantly contradicted yourself in the space of one post. ??
  8. We could’ve done with someone like Chapman last night. Rothwell and Armstrong were both too narrow while Nyambe and Downing were no good on the overlap. If he can’t even get on the bench he must have really pissed on Mowbray’s chips.
  9. I would drop Armstrong but who takes his place? Chapman won’t get a look in, and the alternative is Bennett.
  10. What have those bottom-dwellers got against Dack?
  11. We have a winger. He won't make the matchday squad until he learns the "seriousness of football".
  12. For the next game, I'd go Gallagher/Graham with Holtby and Rothwell as our "front four" Armstrong's pace makes him a useful impact sub.
  13. Thought it was a good reflex save.
  14. Walton was MOTM. Far from convinced he's our No. 1 but this could've been a lot worse if not for two smart saves.
  15. Not looking good for Dack. What now? Give Holtby a run there or switch to 4-4-2?
  16. A really disappointing (but all too predictable) performance that will be overshadowed by Dack's injury. That's probably put paid to our faint hopes of a playoff push. It's shocking how much we missed Tosin at the back. Lenihan and Williams' distribution is L1 standard.
  17. Two crappy set-pieces from Downing ?
  18. Scumbag club, scumbag manager, scumbag fans. Can't wait to see them go down.
  19. Surprised Mercer hasn’t already predicted it.
  20. Isn’t it the opposite with Rothwell? Last season he got a run of games and looked the dog’s bollox. He doesn’t seem to do much in 15-20 minute cameos.
  21. Laughable but sadly typical of the kneejerk mentality in football. 1 good game in 20 and Bell’s suddenly the answer now.
  22. You gotta quit it with this patronising, superfan claptrap everytime we get a good result. It's not endearing and only creates discord.
  23. The Tinkerman's only gone and done it!
