  1. It’s almost as if he’s crap? ?
  2. Read between the lines. ”Put yourself in the shop window, as you’ve no future here, lad”
  3. Coyle joined pre-season 2016. Ironically, Mowbray was the mid-season replacement.
  4. “It’s down to him [Chapman] really. I thought he did alright. We need end product from our wide players.” Might help if he plays on the right side?
  5. Does that mean we never get rid of our old banger?
  6. Wonder if Lenihan keeps in contact with Jack O'Connell? They came through the youth ranks together.
  7. It was a Mowbray pity contract (bolded for emphasis) “It’s not the right thing to let him run down his contract and then just let him go. “We’re hopefully doing the right thing by Ben and hopefully he can get himself fit at some stage and try and get himself back on the grass and see how he does. “It’s not a football judgement. He’s been injured for nearly a year, it’s just frustrating for him.
  8. It’s simple, get results. That’s the only way to silence the critics. There's no continuity with Mowbray, we have the odd unbeaten run in-between some awful, barren spells. It's quite worrying how things quickly fall apart. How is that supposed to inspire confidence that he’s the man to take us forward? I could understand if there was a discernible plan but there’s not. Still massive gaps in the squad, money wasted on goal-shy strikers, no real playing style. Hardly a work in progress.
  9. See Rothwell was getting slagged off yesterday but wasn't he involved for both of our goals? Attack-minded players will often frustrate and thrill in equal measure, but you stick with them because they're capable of moments of magic. We should have straight-swapped Rothwell for Dack and kept more or less the same shape/personnel as before.
  10. Don’t leave the house. You might get run over by a milk float or fall down a manhole. Stay indoors. It’s safe (for now) and who cares if you stagnate and rot away?
  11. We should give Mowbray a contract for life. I dread to think how the club could possibly function without him.
  12. Great summary @RevidgeBlue The stuff about Travis isn’t even a theory. Not when you recall Mowbray telling Harrison Reed to learn from Evans and Smallwood to become a better midfielder.
  13. Did he? That doesn’t change the fact Walton is between the sticks because Mowbray cashed in on Raya and signed a more error-prone goalie.
  14. Who signed that keeper?
  15. The £7m curse strikes again!
  16. Grabbi was out of his depth but he at least showed some technical skill. What are Brereton’s strengths? No one seems to know.
  17. A straight-talking man who will be in no mood to fly out to Pune to kiss the ring. Can't see it happening.
  18. Revenge? You're really exposing your bias here using such emotive language. Like I said, you seem to be putting Mowbray's interests before our own.
  19. Might already have one eye on next season. Wouldn't blame him tbh.
  20. He might have lost the knack. Hasn't notched for Wigan yet.
  21. The only manager we could attract is Iain Dowie? I love how glibly you dismiss the £12m. You don't think the gaffer should bear responsibility for that? It seems you're more focused on keeping Mowbray in a job than Rovers' long-term future.
  22. In that case, let's give Mowbray the job for life? After all, the successor could potentially always be worse. Ironic that you would bring up FFP when the £12m that Mowbray has pissed up the wall will surely come to bite us back on the ass. And even with our financial restraints, we are still an attractive position for many managers, especially once they see how Mowbray managed to get his feet under the table and a mate on the board.
  23. Gotta go. I don't wanna hear “b-but who will Venkys replace him with!” We've been hearing that for almost a decade. Need I remind you that Mowbray is a Venkys man? Looking at the accounts, nothing has changed. It's boom or bust. Are fans happy to muddle through and keep chucking money and transfer windows at a manager who's a million miles away from knowing his best XI?
  24. He’s crap but at least he’s not our player. I don’t think even Mowbray is demented enough to sign him. Hopefully, neither of them will be here next season.
