  1. It's make your mind up time!
  2. It's egregious the lack of leaders we have on the pitch. Someone who will take the game by the scruff of the neck (ugh) and overrule the manager when the gameplan isn't working. Time was, we had a team of battlers (Todd, Neil, Flitcroft, Savage, Bellamy). I don't think you could name one player like that on our books right now. Maybe Lenihan?
  3. WTF was Bennett(?) doing for their second?
  4. IF I thought the money would be sensibly invested in a couple of solid defenders, I'd be prepared to sacrifice Dack. When you need to score 3-4 goals to win a game you're putting tremendous pressure on him to carry the team. Let's face it, he won't be here much longer if he has any ambition.
  5. Probably. If they picked the right man and backed him, like they have Mowbray, it's possible.
  6. The CEO role is a box-ticking exercise. Look at what happened to John Williams and Paul Hunt when they got ideas above their station and challenged the owners? If Waggott has any sense he won't rock the boat, even if Mowbray wasn't his mate. You're right, we're broken and if we ever do taste success under Venkys it will be in spite of them and their ridiculous setup.
  7. Waggott has no sway. It will be Venkys "man on the ground" calling the shots.
  8. Johnson is unproven and it's often difficult for internal appointments to stamp their authority. Still better than keeping ToMo in place.
  9. Some fans are also behind Venkys. It's a kind of learned helplessness.
  10. Milner's looking at a Leeds return as Plan B. They'll probably be in the Prem next year, we'll be lucky to avoid League One.
  11. How can anyone justify keeping him?
  12. I don't know if Mowbray's planning to move Benno into midfield. but I do think that gives him a handy excuse when he's struggling to shoehorn teacher's pet into the first XI.
  13. Dread to think if he hated him!
  14. Oh God, I never even thought of that.
  15. I don't think anyone has Chapman down as a world-beater. What they see is a quick, direct winger who's out in the cold for reasons they can't fathom. We're pedestrian in the way we move the ball about, having someone like that could inject some fresh impetus but because he's a bit ball-greedy or too mercurial for Mowbray's liking, he doesn't make the cut.
  16. True but I think the poor organisation and concentration levels are as much the manager's fault as the players, if not more.
  17. Someone like Allardyce or Warnock could probably get our lot into the top six. It would mean playing percentages and set-pieces, much to the chagrin of purists everywhere, but it would get the job done.
  18. True but still a Championship club, whereas Gallagher was on PL payscale.
  19. We signed Dack in L1, so I can believe that.
  20. >No Bennett >Rothwell and Chapman
  21. I'm not sure he's a real person. I think he's a crafty bot Glenn & Ste B cooked up.
  22. Sometimes, just giving the player the opportunity and freedom to express himself is all it takes to develop them.
  23. It's double-standards. Because Bennett is a grafter and the club's mouthpiece, he's picked no matter how many goals he gives away. Mowbray should let Rothwell (and Chapman) off the leash for a few games. It's impossible for players to establish any form if they're hauled off the moment they do one stepover too many.
  24. If the Qataris were serious, the Trust would've bit their hands off. The fact they sold to a bunch of Indian chicken-farmers proves they weren't fussy.
