  1. What about Roberto Di Matteo? He was hot sh*t a few years ago. Dunno what he's up to lately.
  2. I don't care even if we do the impossible and come back to win this. He's got to go.
  3. Bloody Holtby! Putting himself about the pitch, trying to create chances! We've no place for a maverick like that.
  4. I assumed Gallagher was up-front but you're right, he could be on the wing for all we know.
  5. Baffling, wasn't it? Dack was marked out the game in the 2nd half and getting no protection from the ref. Holtby was our only playmaker. So what does Mowbray decide to do? Drag Holtby off. Then he brings on Gallagher as a focal point up front. So what does Mowbray decide to do? Haul off Downing and bring on the mighty Corry Evans. I don't have 20 years managerial experience, so maybe I don't understand.
  6. Bang on. We're not keeping the ball high up the pitch and pulling teams out of their defensive shape, like actual possession-based football. We're just popping it around in front of teams and going nowhere. Kind of like that Simpson episode:
  7. We're not contending for promotion and we're not too good to get dragged into the relegation mix. I'd pull the trigger before it's too late.
  8. Why does this one game make a difference?
  9. Raya is a decent keeper. Not unflappable but he could make the odd great save. Walton's a downgrade but at least he's not our player. Mulgrew was probably sold to free up the wage-bill for another midfielder, and the theory his next-game triggered a new contract. The consensus on here is that he was done at Championship level. It was still madness to sell a defender when you're already short in that area.
  10. I think we're goosed whatever we do because the club's setup is fatally flawed, but we might as well play the game. We're not winning promotion under Mowbray. Even if he could stumble onto the winning formula, he'd tinker with it the following week.
  11. Nyambe will get the nod, but Mowbray will drop him first chance he puts a foot wrong. Only Captain Fantastic is allowed to have a stinker.
  12. I don't think Dack cops that much stick, but the better the player the higher the expectation. It's clear he can be guilty of playing within himself, and his private life raises the odd eyebrow. Still, our star player, and we might as well enjoy it while it lasts because I doubt he'll be here next season.
  13. Sometimes we can use that to our advantage. Rochina was panned as a showpony but I often noticed teams were quick to put two men on him, which should free up space for the other danger men.
  14. Yeah, there's more chance of Brexit getting done tomorrow night than ToMo dropping those two. No complaints with that line-up. Graham might be on his last legs, but we need some presence in the box.
  15. He's a big fish in a small pond. Not convinced he'd make it in the PL.
  16. To think, before we appointed Souness, we had Joe Kinnear, Roy Evans and Colin Todd on the shortlist.
  17. If the club had any ambition... Pearson, Coleman, Moyes
  18. Mowbray's aiming for 70 points this season... although historically that wouldn't get us into the playoffs.
  19. My guess is that Mowbray felt Holtby wasn't match-fit and needed resting. Wasn't that his first start of the season?
  20. Yeah, I see your point, no player should be undroppable after a blunder like that. Just don't think Leutwiler will make us any better.
  21. To be honest, I never thought they would appoint Paul Lambert with an experienced coaching team, even though it never worked out. Lambo probably wonders where that £12m was hiding when he was in charge.
