Nothing happening signings wise today according to Sharpe. This is getting absolutely ridiculous,Wednesday we were told a couple in on Thursday. Every week we are being told signings by the weekend but nothing happens.
-
Reed has a lot more experience than Travis and would be better than Smallwood, Reed can also fill in at full back. Personally think he will be a good signing for the season, giving Travis the chance to play every week before coming back here next season
-
Not sure about the option of the second year but a few weeks back one of the posters on here SkipDonoghue who seems pretty clued up said he had been at Brockhall
-
Fingers and toes crossed Dack is back for this one. 2-1 Dack and Graham with the goals
-
That isn't good reading. Was a bit positive after reading the mail piece.Shows there are two sides to every story. Will see how he does here, just have to hope the move will bring back some hunger and desire and he doesn't spend his time on the treatment table. Thanks for info.Good luck with your season and hope your new owners do better by the club than Short
-
Yeah it will but at least he spent pre season with Watford and been training with Everton. Reed expected tomorrow then hopefully next week money will be spent securing a loan to buy striker and winger
-
Yeah but has been fit Sunderland and Coleman wouldn't play him. The past is the past he is on a cheap deal, like you said earlier he is a rover now so will have our backing, If he doesn't show anything he will be out the door next summer.
-
Have you read that article? He was fit and available to play, he didn't want want to go without being fixed up with another club first, when he refused to walk away from his contract he was told to train on his own.The club gave him that contract. Yes I'm skeptical too but more due to his injury record and poor form rather than problems with his attitude. We will see how he does, doesn't look like it will be costing us much anyway
-
The fans were pissed off with Rodwell because they couldn't bring in any new signings because he wouldn't walk away from his contract. The club sold him down the river to be fair. I'm not saying his spell at Sunderland was good , his form wasn't great when he did play but this bad attitude thing could be a myth.I don't believe Mogga would bring a negative type into the dressing room, he has spoke on numerous occasions of only bringing in players of good character
-
Reed will complete his move tomorrow I presume Hughes confirmed in his presser that he was going on loan for the season
-
I don't think he refused to play.Sunderland and Coleman wanted rid so they could bring players in but he refused to come to a settlement regarding his contract and was banished to train on his own. Like you say Sunderland gave him the contract so don't really see what he did wrong?Apart from being injury prone
-
Good article
-
It was a midfielder that signed the new contract so presume he was playing midfield. It's a low risk signing , short term contract and cheap deal not one to get excited about but you never know he may come good. Bit annoyed we were told two signings in today though and it's only Rodwell.
-
He played 3 matches for Watford pre season and passed a medical was set to sign only for one of the Watford players who was set to be sold did a u-turn and signed a new contract.Been training with Everton since
-
http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16595779.rovers-bring-in-free-agent-jack-rodwell-on-one-year-deal/ It says in this article about him playing centre back
-
Rodwell signs till end of season
-
A fiver says that's Rodwells hand
-
Can't argue with that. He wanted Bauer clearly but Charlton wouldn't play ball, perhaps go back in for him in January Still not totally against signing Rodwell on a cheap And short term contract with incentives to make the contract longer and more lucrative.
-
Doubt that has played DM and Right back.
-
Yeah agree with this.Perhaps he is being told by Waggot or Cheston that things are close but if nobody signs today it will be the last 3 weeks we have been promised a signing with nobody joining
-
Would Hemed have come up north though?Agree would have been a good signing but seems Mowbray is targetting a younger striker,If nobody is brought in then i'l rue missing out on the likes of Hemed
-
No ability? He has had 2 multi million pound transfers and played for his country.Been shit for time but he does have ability unless the injuries have him ruined. He will be coming in on a very cheap deal if it doesn't work out then he will be gone. It's Sharp who said about him playing cb after speaking with TM.
-
Reed and Rodwell are both close. On Reed perhaps he is being brought in due to us not being able to get that Trapp from Columbus crew, perhaps Southampton don't want to sell Reed?, a couple of loans without options are ok Reed and Palmer both options without obligations improve us. If we got Reed on a loan to buy some would be complaining that we have too many midfielders and should be spending our money on a winger and a striker. Perhaps that is what the kitty is being saved for.TM sounded confident of landing a couple in his interview last night.I still think we will get Brereton before the deadline
-
If he is coming in on a cheap deal at least the guy seems to want to get back playing football. With the money the guy made at Everton, City and Sunderland he could retire and live comfortably for the rest of his days. There is no doubt that he was a talent, you don't have two big money transfers and represent England if you have nothing about you.If it's a cheap deal it looks like a no lose deal for us

Liam Feeney joined Blackpool 2 year deal.
