Exactly. None of us knew too much about Chapman lady season either. As iv previously stated I would prefer a permanent signing but comment like "he is an average league one player"is taking it to the extreme. He is a highly rated young player..if Liverpool didn't see potential they wouldn't be dishing out a 4 year deal to him
-
Kent had a poor season last year but was good for Barnsley. Liverpool obviously seen enough in him to reward him a 4 year deal. They haven't sold him on so obviously see something in the lad. Gerrard who will have seen plenty of him wants to take him to Rangers. Not saying he would be my first choice,I would prefer a permanent signing. But your statement that Kent is an average league one player who wouldn't have got in our team last year is based on what exactly?
-
There isn't any evidence we will be signing Kent either tho Chaddy.Nixon says he is number 1 target...Sharpe says he isn't. So 1 of them is wrong.Or both of them don't have a clue like the rest of us
-
The Maddison link is by us fans...No stories in the press linking us. Nothing coming out of the club linking us. Don't get me wrong I hope Maddison is a target and I hope we do sign him but you can't say Mowbray lost out on his plan a target If we don't sign him as none of us know if he is a player that Mowbray wants
-
Wharton has signed a new 3 year deal
-
I didn't quote you?I just said in my opinion it's madness to want a loan in Kent rather than a perm in maddison You think 3 goals and 3 assists in 47 games is Good? Do you know the budget? Btw I have not said I would be unhappy with Kent coming in would just prefer the better player at this moment in time in Maddison
-
He had a good season in the championship with Barnsley season before last.Played 40 times in all comps and got their young player of the year. But like you I think it's madness to prefer to sign Kent on loan rather than Maddison on a permanent deal. Maddisons stats are much better albeit playing in league one
-
Konsa England under 20.Was surprised Brentford got him as Brighton were in for him as were Everton
-
Quite a few teams in the champ are spending more than a million on players, Nottingham forest have spent a small fortune,Brentford paid 5 mill for a centre half from Charlton,Leeds apparently have a 10 mill bid in for Vydra at Derby and there are more.Last season there was quite a few big money buys. A million doesn't buy you much these days, you only have to take out pursuit of Bauer as an example 12 months left on his contract yet Charlton have put a 2 million price tag on his head
-
He got young player of the year for Barnsley the season before in the championship. Not saying I'm ecstatic with the signing if it happens, but it isn't the worst signing in the world
-
He was good the previous season at Barnsley.Maybe his confidence took a hit when things didn't work out for him in Germany in the first half of last season and he took that form with him when he joined Bristol.Would rather a permanent like Chapman or Maddison but I don't think Kent on loan is the worst signing in the world,he is quick and has a trick or two but going off his stats wouldn't be counting on him scoring many goals
-
Nixon just tweeted that we are favourites for Kent
-
Yeah if he were to be our next signing it would all but confirm Tony wasn't given the answers he wanted when he went India
-
Don't think Sheffield Wednesday paid out that much out for him only to leave him on the bench every week? But that's exactly what happened, same with Boro. And he did get a chance with Wednesday certainly but he didn't take it If it was just a case of create a chance for him and he will score he wouldn't be getting loaned out to Norwich would he?
-
Rhodes has not scored goals in two seasons.2 years is a long time in football. He has hardly played in two years
-
Rhodes didn't get promoted 12 months ago?.The foreign lads I don't know too much about.Oliviera is being linked with a move away as is Wildschut.I don't see them making the top six or being near the play offs myself
-
Why Norwich? They have sold their best player in Maddison.Brought in Marshall who did well on loan at Millwall and Rhodes who has done nothing in two years
-
His first tweet was replying "daylight" in the race for a signing.Since then he has been tweeting that Sheffield United are close to signing a striker. My guess is and I could be totally wrong but that it will be a follow up story on Gallagher, telling us that we are in pole position to sign him as Sheffield United have gone elsewhere
-
Whenever I tweet Rich Sharpe about it he also doesn't say anything yet when iv asked him about other players he responds. Would be a quality signing
-
Sharpe still saying on Twitter will be two permanent and two loan signings brought in on top of the two we have signed already
-
If you are stuck in getting a ticket I live on the same street as ewood park,I will get you one.Im working before the club shop opens and don't finish till after it closes. But I'm off all day on Thursday...if you get here on Thursday and they won't give you a ticket due to not being on the database send me a pm and il go over and get you 1
-
Kyle Bartley I think
-
Looking forward to Thursday will make a nice debut for Maddison

England do have some players of promise coming through and it's a good thing that a few of the younger players are going abroad to play. That lad that Dortmund got from city and lookman from Everton went over there. Some highly rated spurs young striker has gone over there too.And that lad from Chelsea Mount only 19 got player of the year for his club in Holland last season (on loan from Chelsea). Be interesting to see how Sessengon does next season as he does look special. England definitely have talent coming through but this French side do look something else
-
In fairness if you don't like reading his comments then maybe skip through them or put him on ignore. Bit much coming on here telling the mods what to do and also it seems speaking for everyone else. I don't share a lot of chaddyrovers views when it comes to incoming signings but he has as much a right as the next man to air them.
