  1. The trouble is that no person who has a choice would join this club, in any capacity, at the present time and under the Venky / Stooge scum. Unfortunately, that includes footballers, first and foremost and also, any competent executives.
  2. Please can someone post the coalition statement.
  3. Couldn’t agree more, I am a Trust / WATR member and it is time the Board woke up and smell the coffee ! No more critical friend and sound bites and thinking about calling for action or ST boycotts or whatever, join the coalition and start trying to get this lot out of our club. Enough is enough.
  4. Should have been booked within first 5 minutes.
  5. Had to be Anel A didn’t it, the player who was on his way to Ewood and JDT, only for Sheffield to then sign him up with money they never had and didn’t pay 😡
  6. I fully agree with this, if we had kept them out another 5/10 minutes, I think we would have made it but what a shocking goal to concede. Even after conceding, with 30 minutes left to play and the incentive we had, I thought we could still do it and expected a shit or bust siege of the Sheffield goal. The changes were too late and the kitchen sink siege that I anticipated just never materialised, at no stage in that game did we exert any sustained offensive pressure. I know the players didn’t leave much out there but I maintain that it was there for them to grab and they pretty meekly let it slip away. I have to agree with Revidge that a huge mentality issue runs through the club, we can never get over the line when it really matters. Finally, I couldn’t help reflecting after the match and considering how the match would have played out if the circumstances had been reversed. My conclusion was that almost against any club who needed a goal to get in play offs or stay up, our goal would have been under constant pressure and sadly, yesterday with 30 minutes to go at, this just didn’t happen.
  7. Sadly reminiscent of the disappointment at the QF under JDT, real heartache yet again.
  8. Just so disappointing that all the results fell in, if we had just won the match. A decent team with squad strength but they did make 7 changes and unlike us, didn’t have any great incentive and so for my money, the players / managers have let it slip away today.
  9. Massively disappointing, never a must win performance. The players / Management only have themselves to blame, it was there for them to reach out and grab but where was the urgency, they didn’t look like they wanted it enough. I was waiting for the kitchen sink in the last 20 minutes but it just never came.
  10. Simply doesn’t feel like a must win performance, not creating nothing and on back foot with 10 to go, FFS
  11. I was going to revert but having just read the posts from St Helens Rover and Mattyblue, I think the point have been well made.
  12. But same for every other club and we almost stand alone as a club that has seen ST and match day attendance decline, whilst all around increase. That is all down to Pune and the incompetent stooges that have been employed locally.
  13. I have just weakened and renewed. I feel a bit ashamed and a little disheartened as I had resolved to support any coordinated and public clarion call not to renew / buy ST’s but it never came from either the coalition or WATR.
  14. We could maintain that with a draw and to no avail, nothing but a win will cut the mustard. COYB
  15. I was at that one, seem to recall Andy Kennedy getting the other.
  16. They just need to bring Mowbray in now to dampen the owner’s motivation to take the Championship by storm and take them on a journey !
  17. And Swag without his beloved Leeds and Knob End fixtures 😊
  18. A good call that, especially given the fucking big hole the stooges have dug. Also need to get more tickets from the Blunts.
  19. Now just waiting for WATR’s to find some backbone and get behind this, a fully united coalition will make life wholly uncomfortable for the three stooges ! Fuck Jim White and his bullshit bluster but now for sure, ‘Venkys, We Are Coming For You’ !
  20. Perhaps even report that they are well ahead of the corresponding period for the last 5 years. Given that they have never been on sale at this stage before, they wouldn’t be lying !
  21. A major price initiative for today’s match, like PNE at £5 adult and £1 for others, would have brought out more support for the team and a chance for the desperate stooges to increase sales. However, just too much like hard work, who the hell wants the hassle of a full stadium and passionate support 😡
  22. I’m at 43 years and had decided that my only protest left was to not renew. If there was a really concerted and public effort that felt like we were making progress and called on all supporters to boycott ST’s, I will happily comply but without it, my resolve is waning 🙈
  23. The old saying, any publicity is good publicity and the Venkys get plenty of it for being the owners successfully dismantling and killing one of the world’s oldest and most famous football clubs.
  24. Obviously not a fan, given his Knob End / Dingle connections, but listened to David Unsworth tonight on Radio Lancashire. He said that he felt like driving down to Brockhall and physically shaking the Rovers players as they had thrown away the chance to get the club promoted and really needed to take a good look at themselves after not dealing with Eustace leaving. He questioned how the senior players had let it happen and questioned the mentality of them, faced with adversity they should have been fired up. I have to agree with him, very few real leaders and I definitely include the skipper, Travis in that category.
