Only if you have a willing seller, a reluctant seller can ask for whatever they want and any interested party can then make their own decisions.

If a release clause was included, there would be precious little room for negotiation, meet it and he’s gone. My guess is that no such clause is in the contract.

The salient point your missing is that he is effectively contracted to Rovers for another 3 years. He is paid well and was happy to sign a contract for good money and therefore, we are under no moral obligation to sell, unless it is seen to benefit Blackburn Rovers.

Because we would get a fee and there will be no fee when he is out of contract.

I think Siggurdson would love QPR or PAOK but a pity that he has shown next to nothing in a blue and white shirt.

But Liam Delap with no EPL experience and hardly any Championship goals is worth £20m ! Sammy is from Colchester, Essex not Ipswich, even Suffolk, although admittedly not too far away.

I think he probably wants a move, he’s played very little football since joining for one reason or another and has shown very little after the first couple of appearances. I think if he goes it will probably be back to Scandinavia or some low level Spanish / Italian side for a pretty small fee. Has ability but little pace and no real grit / determination.
