Probably not bothered as I think it was well over 40 league matches since we were last awarded one, possibly the Szmodics miss at Rotherham ?

Farke’s beef with Trav was the time spent on the deck, he reckoned 6 times without a trainer being called 😊 TBF to him, he did say that Rovers deserved the win and is usually pretty fair that way, my recollection is that he was also pretty magnanimous when Sammy won it for us at Elland Road.

He’s barely had a bad game since coming to the club.

Credit to the whole team, what a fully committed and disciplined performance.

I don’t think we paid anything for Howard Gayle, loved him.

That was squeaky bum time but he had a great game, made some good saves when needed.

Important goals at the death very rarely seem to come our way. The last one I can readily remember is Lenihan away at Forest although Sammy’s goals at Leeds and Leicester were both after the 80+ minutes and made sure we stayed in this division.

We really are long over due a decent performance and result from a midweek fixture. I am hoping we deliver on both fronts tomorrow but pragmatically, I expect to be disappointed like most mid-week match days.

I will always call out the owners and the current executives at the club, whose incompetence has been exposed and proven, many, many times. Whilst annoying, I am prepared to give the Groundsman and staff the benefit of the doubt on this one, the fact that Notlob and Knob End have got their matches on doesn’t negate the location specific drainage issues at Ewood and I am sure that the last thing the club, with the never ending cash flow issues, needed was a postponement.

I really liked JDT for a number of reasons and I also think Eustace is a good manager. At any normal functioning club, I think both would be more than capable of delivering a promotion but this is Venky’s Blackburn Rovers.

Plenty of time to settle in and exit before the summer window opens and on we go……..
