  1. In my heart, even with Mowbray in charge, I didn’t think we would sign nobody. The only club anywhere to not make one signing. I thought we’d have got a loanee in. We are now totally reliant on Armstrong to score goals and Adarabioyo to keep our defence from crumbling.
  2. It’s looking more and more likely that Dack leaving this window was the plan. That in itself would have been bad enough but would we have even brought in anyone worthwhile with the proceeds? I certainly wouldn’t trust Mowbray to do so. How long until Smallwood is back on the bench just to add insult to injuries...?
  3. Nothing we do can change that though, Duncan, however right you are. We are now all about having the right people minding the shop and then a fluke promotion on the back of some real momentum - hoping that it is enough to tempt them to sell. We don’t have that right now and FFP has become an easy excuse for Mowbray and his supporters who overlook the fact that his poor scouting and irresponsible transfer deals have brought about the FFP problem. It’s madness to reward Mowbray’s failures and ignore that this current mess is of his making - yet some call it “sanity”.
  4. Not being relegated isn’t actually the target. There’s no kicking in this season, sadly. Back to the drawing board in the Summer. No keeper and only one decent centre half.
  5. And the same number of points away from the bottom half such is the number of teams in close proximity. We needed to strengthen this month and haven’t. We are weaker now that at the start of the month.
  6. 12th is an awful position for our debt. Another wasted season closer to oblivion.
  7. And yet no other club felt he was worth the time we are trusting him with. Like Bowyer, this is just wasting time until the fire sale becomes necessary.
  8. Maybe in Ireland that is so. In East Lancs there are plenty who let you know.
  9. And soon we won’t be, and then we will be again. And this will go on indefinitely with no consistency and no momentum to actually get over the invisible line. How many weeks has Mowbray had Rovers in the top 6 of the Championship?
  10. Come on. He doesn’t need any help in sounding bad. He’s not an inexperienced manager learning his trade, he has been around and comes across like he doesn’t know what he is doing. Not sure if it’s part of an act to make people take pity on him or what. As long as he keeps winning football matches I don’t really care - although it is pretty embarrassing.
  11. He’s been found out everywhere. When he was found out at Rovers he just got told to crack on.
  12. Did you not get that he was talking about the need to be proactive? That we shouldn’t just sit around waiting for the phone to ring. If the ethos is to just see who makes an enquiry then yes, we are sending them to the highest level we can. But that is a failure and we are not getting the best out of our investment in youth by just ‘hoping for the best’ and getting lucky with a team coming in to help develop one of our potential stars of the future - or sources of income. It’s just lazy.
  13. He just seems to say whatever pops into his head.
  14. The guy is utterly untouchable. He knows it, we all know it. And apathy and excuses reign again: “let’s see what happens in January“ has quickly turned into “but we’ll breach FFP rules” while Mowbray tells us all how difficult he finds this recruitment lark. By the time Mowbray finally goes this team will need to completely start again. “We just need to get in a couple of players to help the lads” is the anthem of mediocrity.
  15. There is lots you can do but first we need to stop alienating fans. Right now “the club” is going out if it’s way to put up barriers.
  16. What a time to be alive (and a Rovers fan).
  17. Fair enough. I thought Rovers had to make the request to terminate the loan and he had leant on Rovers to do so. Our transfer business must be amongst the most amateur in the EFL, let alone the Championship.
  18. Rothwell our for a month has already broken that spell before it got going. Such a shame we don’t have adequate cover and Mowbray will promote Bennett back to a starting berth before someone like JRC or Mols.
  19. Lol. “Even if he’s crap and you lose every game, he’ll be your number one all season, lots of love, Brighton”
  20. I’ll get the bunting up.
  21. Because it’s January 30th and Walton is still our first choice keeper.
  22. Missing the point. I suspect on purpose so I’ll leave it there.
