  1. Don’t...!
  2. No. Muted cheers and trudging off home.
  3. You are posting on a fan site with a particularly cynical cross-section of the fanbase. Tony has enjoyed the best fanbase support of any manager under Venkys. “Tony sort it out” is the compromise chant that both remainders and leavers can agree on. Trust me when I say that this was a watershed moment. Particularly when you combine it with tentative boos.
  4. If it has a YouTube page then copy and paste the URL.
  5. He’d have dropped it before you got it though. Worst keeper since Steele.
  6. I can now see why you are struggling to grasp why people are so upset despite winning today... Alarm bells should be ringing all over the place. A home win and fans not being happy is the start of a toxic situation.
  7. So not quite turkeys voting for Christmas but sending Christmas cards... Sounds like they believe this claptrap about the nightmare scenario of 5000 walk-ons turning up and creating a queue being a bad thing.
  8. C’mon, Mick. It’s possible to despise Venkys and hold the manager accountable for his job description. Every other club manages it - excuse the pun.
  9. Depends who you talk to. Some think that we should forgive them and trust them. At the end of the day, if we still believe that this is a football club and still pay to watch then we should still be able to demand that the manager is held accountable for failure. I cannot and will not accept the argument of sticking with mediocrity and failure “just in case” the next manager “could” be worse. They also “could” be better. Lambert was better than Bowyer. Mowbray was better than Coyle. But every manager has a shelf life. Mowbray is the 10th longest serving EFL manager, and 2nd longest Championship one, despite having been relegated during that time and having the worst run.
  10. ££££ v £ I’m afraid. They seem to have to learn everything the hard way. You’d have thought they’d have learned from the same scenario between Allardyce and Kean.
  11. Since certain overt agents left the club, and Bowyer steadied things while the boardroom war ended, Venkys have consistently employed managers with Championship promotion on their CV - including Mowbray.
  12. The older players have less opportunities (see the Keogh v Lawrence/Bennett situation) so when they get one they want to keep it. He would probably benefit from keeping those players (‘The Group’) onside so that they back him and influence the younger players. These are also the demographic of players who would go to the senior management to complain and try to get a manager potted (see Mourinho at Chelsea). Pure conjecture, of course, but could this be what happened with Mulgrew...?
  13. They do. And several posters on here are part of the Fans Forum who meet face to face with club representatives. They don’t care.
  14. Facebook is certainly not being kind. Even his biggest supporter probably felt we should have been far more clinical against the bottom side. The stats for today’s game are very damning indeed. Dack’s goal has papered over a massive crack. I think he has paid back Mowbray’s character witness testimony with that goal alone.
  15. Slightly harsh on Travis. I’d have given him 6. But it’s interesting that with 8/10 Rothwell was still hooked instead of 5/10 Armstrong. There was the start of a reaction (a low booing) when Rothwell went off that became worse when Barnselona nearly got a third - no long before we scored. I have to believe that Mowbray is untouchable and unrepentant so even if we drew he was going nowhere because that last goal could be another nail in our coffin longer term. It’s getting more and more difficult to enjoy wins when it allows him another 1 point from the next 5.
  16. Funny that. When we lose it’s all about the performance levels.
  17. Looks like Mowbray is as defiant as ever. This is going to end ugly.
  18. Were you there today mate?
  19. That late goal means nothing to me. Mowbray looked a dead man walking at 2-2 and a late free kick (which Arma did well to buy) doesn’t change that. Having to score three to get past Barnsley isn’t good enough. Conceding after making all his subs too. The crowd very nearly turned too and they will next time. Mowbray out.
  20. Competing really well this half. Toe to toe with the side bottom of the league.
  21. Not the most exciting half but we are 1-0 to the good. But I think we’ll concede. They have got into decent positions a couple of times but no decent final ball. I still think having Gallagher out wide is holding him and the team back and he’d be better in the middle.
