  1. Funny but... ouch. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/stinky-stockport-county-fans-told-6463817
  2. (Gotta love that) I'll see you and raise you: Talk talk talk talk - Conor Patrick & The Shooting Tsar Orchestra
  3. It wasn't entirely obvious you meant the Millstone was the £100 ph venue. I read it a couple if times. In your haste to be sarcastic, you may have missed that.
  4. Love the way that he beat the offside trap for the first, but lucky with the second, mind.
  5. And yet FFP will welcome Venkys and Tan on board and put the shutters up to the Jack Walkers. That's if there ever are any more. It's entirely possible that we simply had the golden ticket for a while there. The Whelans and Davies are the same mould but came in after the horse had bolted. Jack's fortune was enough but only for a time.Wonder how BangkokRover's Qataris are doing with falling in love with Rovers? Has that NDA not expired yet and you can spill the... (That's a photo of my beans that I've just taken now, btw, not from bing images, honest!. )
  6. Isn't FFP designed to prevent exactly that?
  7. I don't think it's a smart move, I think it's a necessary evil for clubs like ours and Bolton's. We may not have had massive debt at the time but our wages-to-turnover ratio was unsustainably high without Sky money and a £20m or so sale every year. Now we haven't enough income from either source but you know this, hence the throwaway comment about someone else posting on your BRFCS account. I've posted similar to Gartside about Rovers on this mb in the last fortnight.
  8. The loss of income from relegation is incredible. Has someone hacked your account, DE?A PL infrastructure isn't sustainable. Players have all the power so it's no so simple as saying, "ok, you were on £25,000 in the Prem but now we've been relegated you are on £2,500". So all the parachute money goes on wages. Sponsors are not as forthcoming. When was the last time you heard of a club, any club making millions for it's shareholders? Ironically probably Bumley. FFP is crucifying those few clubs who 'punched above their weight' for a reasonable length of time.
  9. The Aussies would love that - we'd never live it down. I presume not completing a test series would also incur sanctions. We have to take it on the chin, I'm afraid. Much like football at the moment. Suck it up. If it's to be a whitewash so be it.
  10. It does make me wonder if the first 3 tests were about a lot more than cricket.
  11. That would make more sense. A face saving exercise.
  12. "I feel that now is the right time to step down." Really? For whom? Clearly he doesn't care about the prospect of a whitewash. Maybe they've already forfeited. Unless he's been asked to quit then that's pretty gutless not to stay and fight until the end of the series. It really is like we just had no intention to compete in this series whatsoever. I feel a bit sorry for our Australian cousins. It's been a pretty hollow victory for them, with both sets of fans being short-changed.
  13. I remember watching that first time round Am'o. I was only young but it was very surreal.
