Disagree.

It's literally men against boys to be fair.

Let's not get carried away. This is the biggest game of their young lives in front of, I imagine, the biggest crowd.Still, this has been more enjoyable than many first team games this season. Pretty damning stat that our U21s have been on TV as much as our first team. Fair play my arse.
-
Sounds like they've had some complaints- they've just had to qualify their academy comments!
-
Same as the Swansea cup match.Rovers have never been a PL team. Biggest game in our club's history tonight.
-
I've been impressed. Rovers youngsters have grown into the game. Had a couple of chances with good crosses. Always going to be second best on paper and still a tough 45 minutes to go but they've done very well.

£140?? Just the one bacon sandwich?

Incredible!

Well I really enjoyed it. It's probably half an hour too long but the end was a really clever - if 'out there' - idea.
-
Bit of a bonkers ending. I thought it was brilliant until then.

I hope it isn't.But I'm not seeing Bowyer learn, and if he is the ultimate decision maker at Ewood he needs to start doing a lot better. I can't help but think, for instance, that Brown and (P) Taylor are now Bowyer's choices for our attack and it's actually Desai who is preventing him (and Shaw) from moving Gestede and Rhodes on to generate funds. I don't want to write off an alleged bad egg before he's kicked a ball (under a manager who can't handle bad eggs) but if they are the kinds of players he is placing stock in, I fear that we are going to go backwards even further before we can think about moving forwards. Being honest, give me a mercenary like Souness, Hughes or Allardyce any day - rather than a fan who does his best.
-
I have to admire your faith in the likes of Bowyer, Kinder, Filan et al. (Although I don't think I've read much from you complementing Short).I genuinely hope you are right, Parson, and that Rovers future is bright under some long term rebuilding process; backed by owners who really care about the club. The conspiracy theorists who see mounting debt, novice management - at every level - will no doubt be delighted to be proven as worrying for nothing over the need for (PL) income as soon as possible.
-
Looks like I gave you too much credit.I was merely laughing at the cliché, which your newest fan club member aptly continued. It's pretty obvious that Filan will be given the gig the best possible candidate.
-
Stick your beak out, Blueboyzzzz. Parson is long enough in the tooth to know where I was coming from. if he doesn't then he's quite capable of making his own enquiries. When I want your opinion I'll ask for it - but don't cancel any plans while you are waiting.
-
-
There will be a thorough recruitment, sifting and interview process to ensure the best options are available. And then they'll decide that John Filan was the stand-out candidate.

This is the problem though, only trying to develop the early developers is to the detriment of smaller players. By the time those players who looked good when they simply had a physical advantage are caught up by the rest it's too late. Then clubs complain about the lack of talent and buy youth from abroad. Not enough is done by professional clubs to develop youngsters and bring them through. They rely on community volunteers with minimal training, time and budgets then cherry pick the stronger ones, only to dump them later. Clubs should be investing far more in properly developing young talent.
-
But the practise of selecting players based on height in limiting the quality shorter players. Raheem Sterling (according to his wiki) is 5' 7. Should he have been told he's not going to make it?
-
It just shows that for all the rhetoric peddled by the FA about grassroots changes is pointless garbage, as professional clubs don't but into it. English football will never ever change because the same people carry on making the same decisions again and again, and there is no incentive to do anything differently. If Messi or Maradonnachad been born English they'd have been binned off too. It genuinely saddens me.
-
It's bad enough watching opposition goals first time round why would I want to watch them again? If they want replays install a TV at their gaff. It's our home game we should be using every psychological advantage possible.
-
You really REALLY missed out by giving up so soon. I've never known a show with characters who evolved so much between the first and last seasons/episodes.
