Hodgson inherited a good squad ( Shearer gone) that had one season left in them , well 3/4 quarters anyway... Problem was like Mowbray he couldn't build another team once players from Kenny's team left..... Money was available but badly spent , it could be argued that if he had continued until the of the season , wee wouldn't have gone down...as Kidd was a total disaster , Hodgson was a manager like Moyes , once the expectations were raised , he was found badly wanting ...
