Not too bothered about tonight's or tomorrow's results. Sadly I think our hopes realistically disappeared with those late goals we conceded against Cov and Preston. Add some goals to the squad and we'll be a real force next season.

Pleased with the commitment and desire but absolutely no quality up front. Didn't create a single chance of note. -

Knew that would happen. We have nothing up top and, even though they've not had a kick all game, they've got better individuals who can produce a moment of magic. What a rotten run of form. -
v Preston (a) - 22/4/23 - 17:30 k/o

Every season we seem to fail in the Jan transfer window and that's why we generally struggle in the latter part of the season. Last season we were neck and neck with Bournemouth for second place but then they blew us out of the water with their Jan transfer dealings. We signed no one of note and capitulated. -
v Preston (a) - 22/4/23 - 17:30 k/o

There's a whole clutch of clubs that can say that though. Norwich, for example, were in an excellent position after they beat us but have capitulated since. Millwall have hit a rotten run of form, Watford are a shambles, Preston messed it up in games on paper they should have won. The list goes on. -

Absolutely gutting to drop points with the last kick of the game twice in one week. We're still in a good position but you get the sense those two late goals will ultimately cost us. Whatever happens I'm delighted with the progress we've made this season. We've got the best young players in the league, our style of play over the past couple of months has been excellent, and we added 3 very good players last summer - Hyam, Szmodics, Brittain. And a good manager too! With players on long term contracts we're well set whereas previous years it's felt like a re-build every summer. We're crying out for a couple of quality attacking players who can score goals and an upgrade on Travis in the middle of the park. Get that then I think we'll be competing for top 2 next year. Genuinely think we're only 3 players away. On yesterday, I thought Hedges was brilliant when he came on so it's so annoying that he fluffed his lines at the end. It's also interesting how Gallagher is such a limited player but also such a huge influence on results. The win rate with and without him speaks for itself. -

Difficult to see this game not ending 0-0 -
Yes Wigan! That could be huge for us.

Don't see any goals in that team. Fear we will lose this one. -

Gutting, it was definitely handball. It's not too damaging given other results, it's just as you were really. How we've got on such a long winless run yet are still in the top 6 is baffling. Surely we're due a win soon. -

Excellent half of football. The football has been slick and high energy, they haven't really had a kick. Excellent finish from Gallagher and we not often able to say that. Wharton and Brittain have added a bit more energy and quality to the side. I don't think this will finish 1-0 though. Next goal will be vital. -

That was rubbish. Gallagher and Diaz, there are no words. Abysmal. Still in the play off mix. -
Not so sure about that. They couldn't beat Rotherham at home.

A point ahead of Norwich with TWO games in hand. Think the injuries they suffered at Ewood have killed them off.

Absolutely top notch player on the ball. His touch and vision is premier league class. He's probably a bit too casual out of possession and too lightweight to start games regularly at the moment. He's perfect for games like today though when you know the opposition will park the bus.

Almost a perfect set of results for us (Preston aside). Still in the top 6 which I didn't expect after our draw earlier. Happy with that. -
Please hang on to these results and do us a big favour. Very favourable so far.

Outstanding second half display. One of the best of the season? Rankin-Costello is some player. -

Game over and possibly our play off hopes too. Still, a miracle that we're even in the play off picture with this squad. -
Priorities for the summer
rovers11 replied to wilsdenrover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Priorities for the summer presuming we're still a championship club: Striker, CM, LB, Sorba, Diaz replacement. If we achieve the dream of reaching the prem league then we'd need a very busy summer. Not many are good enough for the prem. Maybe the centre halves and that's it. -
Excellent set of results for us today.
