  1. Sadly very true. And the least financially lucrative. If Udinese and/or Watford have a serious interest in him then there's no way he's coming here.
  2. I'd take Undav over the Leeds guy any day of the week.
  3. Phew very relieved that goal was offside. Both teams were awful so I think a draw was fair. We need a big week in the transfer market. We need a good striker (Undav), some pace in attacking areas, and a leader in the middle of the park.
  4. Woeful from both teams. Every player looks completely disinterested.
  5. Very good news. I think Undav is a done deal. When Rich Sharpe says it "should happen" then you know he's been told by the club it's done deal.
  6. Undav would be a fantastic signing at this level. If we can get the Hibs guy too and a CM then that would be a very good window.
  7. Glaring lack of quality going forward. Dack has been excellent but Gally, Vale, Hedges just not on his level.
  8. Best for all parties. That's what I've been most impressed with about JDT; if you're not playing well then you're dropped, if you're not good enough then you're shipped out. There are no favourites. Two players signed late in the window - Hirst and Mola - nowhere near the level required.
  9. Good luck to Hirst in lge 1. I'll think he'll do OK for Ipswich. He's nowhere the level we need so it's a good move all round. I didn't see anything in his game to suggest he is or will be a championship striker. Then again, Sam Gallagher has made a career at this level...
  10. The last two games have been horrible. A last minute defeat in the previous game, which always hurts, and our worst 10 mins of the season yesterday to lose a game that we dominated in the first half. Gut wrenching. I really don't enjoy watching Rovers these days, you just know they'll generally find a way to dampen your day. Ironically, I thought it was one of our best halves of the season yesterday. Good movement, knowing when to play short and when to go long, and aggressive when out of possession. What a ridiculous red card. I think we should take a good look at the table now as we're going to find ourselves a lot lower than 3rd very soon. Still, we have to be realistic with the squad of players we have. We're lacking quality.
  11. We desperately need some midfield muscle and some attacking quality. We must be one of the worst teams in the league for creating chances and we're far too easy to play against. I have to pinch myself that we're 3rd given that we've been woeful for much of the season. Performances have been poor, we've lost as many games as those in the bottom 3, and we've not even scored an equalising goal when we've gone behind (and not even looked like scoring one either). 1 CM, 1 central striker, 1 wide attacker would be a start. Hirst must be sent back to Leicester.
  12. Brilliant result. The starting 11 line up was a huge gamble but it paid off. We ditched the passing out from the back tactic and went more direct, it really suited us. Norwich were terrible though. Much needed win.
  13. What a poor line up. Rankin-Costello at RB and not a single player in midfield who knows how to win the ball back.
  14. This won't be pretty. Norwich will set traps and have the ability to destroy us. I'm going 4-1.
  15. Despite being 3rd in the league, we're in desperate need of some attacking talent in January. If Breo doesn't play well then we have nothing going forward. Even when he does play well, we still don't create anything. I'd certainly send Hirst back and get someone new up top. I'd also reluctantly ship out Dack if it meant we could free up some good wages. In midfield, Buckley out on loan would suit all round I think. I'd replace him with a warrior in there as we're too nice to play against at the moment. We have too many players who like the ball at their foot but don't like getting stuck in without the ball. In defence, we need a CB who can cover RB or vice versa. Why not make an offer for Nyambe? Deadwood such as Edun and Rankin-Costello can most certainly go.
  16. I don't blame the players, I completely blame the tactics. They are not capable of playing passing football so stop asking them to play that way.
  17. Shambolic. We're all over the place and Preston fully deserve a two goal lead.
  18. I don't think today could have gone any worse. I can forgive the gulf in class as they have parachute payments but I cannot forgive the gulf in desire and effort. Non existent.
  19. What a mess. The players and manager have let the fans down today. No passion or fight shown.
  20. You don't think a team with Pears, Rankin-Costello, Edun, Vale, Buckley et al is any weaker than a team with Trav, Hyam, Gally, Morton, Kaminski etc etc? That is surprising.
  21. Diaz has booked his place in the prem next season with or without us. Today was a little cameo to show that he's more than ready.
  22. JDT continues to work miracles. How we've beaten a prem league side with the team we put out is astonishing. I know West Ham made changes too but they had a strong side out.
