The fact that Hedges being back tomorrow is a huge boost - and it is - just shows how little quality we have in the squad. Previous years he has been the one we winced at when he was playing as he's not that good, yet now we are just delighted it keeps the likes of De Neve out of the team. De Neve, Tavares, and Henriksson are all nowhere near good enough. Miller just about misses out being on that list but hes not that great either. -

If VI thinks we will move quickly in the transfer market or sign anyone of any quality then he will be in for a big surprise. Think the penny has dropped big time for VI about the state of this club and he's struggling to hide his annoyance. Still, there's not a chance he's quitting. This is his last job in England most probably. -

There were some positives from the game last night. Thought Morishita looked really good again and is fast becoming one of our best players. Good on the ball and has a good work ethic. Baradji looked good when he came on. Unlike most of our players, he has good technical ability and speed. Toddy head and shoulders above everyone else when he came on. He'll have certainly instructed his agent to get him a move next summer. -

Utter garbage yet again. VI is lucky that we're a shambles of a club otherwise his home record would come under a lot more scrutiny. Not good enough. -
Hoping for an away game, thats my only hope. We cannot afford for another game to be called off and given the weather in Jan, thats very likely if its at Ewood.

Oof this is the first time I've seen thr full quotes. Good on VI for speaking up, but this won't go down well at all with the club. Venky's mantra has always been toe the line or you are out. They banned the local newspaper for similar reasons. -

Much like those before him, VI clearly not happy with how the club is run and he's now struggling to hide his annoyance at what, quite frankly, is a joke of a club. Let's face it, if we were a well run club then VI wouldnt be here in the first place. However, if he gets offered another job, he'll be off like a shot, just like our previous two managers. Sadly for VI, he won't be very in demand so I suspect he'll have to suffer through the pain like the rest of us. -
January Transfer Needs

Good player, expensive, championship experience. In other words, absolutely no way he's coming here. Does not fit the model of buying cheap from abroad and hoping to sell on for a profit. -

VI simply has to stop putting on Gueye and De Neve. They are game changers - just in a negative way. Gueye should be fined for his performance last night. I can forgive him for a lack of talent but not for his complete lack of effort. He refused to run around, chase the ball, and make himself a nuisance. Totally unacceptable. As for De Neve, no lack of effort but just totally out of his depth. As others have said, it makes no sense he comes on rather than Ribiero when we're holding onto a lead. I suspect it's a contractual issue with Ribiero. Countless former players have said they were not played due to contractual reasons and triggering of contract extentions etc. That surely has to be the case here too. -

I fear the same. A sign of a very poor team. Genuinely unsure when we last scored an injury time goal to rescue a game. Yet we have thrown away goals in injury time multiple times already this season. -

Absolutely. Two games in a row we drop 2 points with the last kick of the game. Sickener. -

Fear that this game will turn on it's head when subs are made. Ipswich have a very good bench and we know what happens when we make changes. -

This fixture is absolutely cursed for us. Been far the better team and should have had a penalty and Ipswich should be down to 10. No doubt we'll go onto lose after subs have been made. Probably the best I've seen us play all season. -
Typical. Once again, the subs come on and my heart sinks. Just expect the inevitable to happen when I see the likes of Henriksson, De Neve, Gueye lining up to come on.

Yes but we don't have any assets left to sell so now we're back in the territory of them having to plough in money just to keep the lights on. I agree they don't care about the fans which is exactly why protests don't and won't work. Squeezing them financially is the only thing that will. The days of protests working are long gone with many clubs having absent foreign owners who don't have any association with the area. -

Respectfully disagree again. Empty stadiums and silent protests are absolutely the way forward when you have foreign owners. Venky's don't care if people have banners in the ground or protests marches outside, they're in their ivory towers in India - and the club just dismiss it as the minority anyway. However, they can't dismiss an empty stadium and dwindling match day income as just a minority. That hits Venky's in the pocket (with no assets left to sell to cover those losses), which is the only thing they care about. Venky's want the club to be self-sufficient and that's why we get rid of our high earners and buy 'assets' that can be sold for a profit (although they'll be in for a surprise if they think they can make a profit on the players signed in the summer). -

I disagree - 7k-8k fans turning up on a cold night to watch a club whose heart and soul has been dismantled over the past 12 years is really impressive. I'm surprised that many turned up. Absolutely back the players, but the club is rotten and there would have been riots at other clubs if they were managed like this. -

We're just too easy to play against at home. It's like we don't have a midfield, it's one simple pass and the opposition are running at our defence. Defensively, it's like watching the team under JDT in his second season. Eustace had us so well set up and hard to beat, but now it's like knife through butter. -

I think he's a poor manager but doing an OK job considering the backdrop of what he's got to work with. The fact we're not in the bottom 3 (yet!) is an achievement with this squad of players. If we got rid, who would come in? It would be someone cheap, desperate for a job, and possibly even inferior to VI. I think we will just have enough to stay up as we've got 5 of our best players missing at the moment and we seem to be able to sneak a win here and there. Sonny is absolutely key. Huge gaping holes in midfield without him. Such a top player. -

Awful half. Miles off it. VI got the starting 11 all wrong and the worrying thing is it was pretty obvious to most that wasn't the right line up. -

Very clear VI does not rate Tavares, Pickering or Ribiero. Surely 2 out of those 3 to come in today surely would have been the natural choice. Instead it's square pegs. -

Well, well what a change in fortunes. Honestly, I felt we were down and out after some dismal results and a complete lack of championship experience. 3 games later and we're looking transformed. Solid at the back, dangerous going forward, comfortably beating 2 of the best teams in the league away from home, and the new signings starting to settle in and look very good players at this level. All the more impressive that it's been done without Cantwell, who is by far our best player. The change in formation has been a game changer. Just suits the players more and keeps us tighter at the back. Of the new signings, Alebiousu has been a real find. Has to be one of the best RBs in the league right now. Miller is everything I like in a defender, McLaughlin is a cool head at the back, De Neve looks good at wing back, Gudjohnsen is firing, TGH is a workhorse in the middle, and Mori is very industrious. Still think there's more to come from him. Tavares and Henriksson yet to shine. Toth and Wharton injuries are a worry. Ironic that Toth could have sat on a deckchair all game last night as he had nothing to do...yet gets injured. There was always a danger of Wharton picking up an injury playing so many games in quick succession. -
