  1. Glad he's signed permanently. He clearly wants to play at a higher level within the next 2 years hence the short deal.
  2. Think he will sign permanently which is good news. He's not been as good as I expected but he does have that little bit of quality in front of goal that many of our other players don't have. I hoped his style would be more electric though, he often opts for a backwards or sideways pass rather than taking players on.
  3. More evidence that the only ambition of the club is to stay in the championship and develop young players. Such a lack of ambition at the club. We have to make a decision whether to trigger the year long extension on Gally's contract over the next few months. Given his injury record, lack of goals, and significant wages, it should be an easy decision.
  4. Only positive is that the sending off won't impact the result anyway. We've got nowhere near them all game. They are head and shoulders above us.
  5. Gets boxing day off now. I would suggest that's not a coincidence given how blatant the kicking of the ball away.
  6. It's a slight GK error but more blame is on Wharton. Obvious what their guy was trying to do so you gotta be wise to it and muscle him out of the way. Instead, both Wharton and Leo were taken out of the game.
  7. Worst 45 of the season. No effort, desire, or belief. Not one player believes we can get a result today based on the body language from minute one.
  8. The Leicester game was an entertaining game to watch. It wasn't boring and we "gave it a good go" as they say.
  9. How are they contradictory? I think it will be an exciting game to watch but we'll probably lose.
  10. Can't see anything other than a comfortable Saint's win. They have far superior quality. Should be a decent game though.
  11. That was very nervy, we never do it the easy way. Trondstad is a fantastic player. 8/10 every game and barely puts a foot wrong. Leo had an excellent game too. By far his best in a Rovers shirt. Do feel we lack a presence up top. Ennis was OK in the first half but you can see his fitness levels are poor. Leonard was anonymous when he came on..
  12. Anyone know how our points tally this season compares to our tally at the same point last season? Feels like we've doing worse than last season but I suspect the tally is quite similar.
  13. We've done OK but Leeds clearly have far more quality than us which is to be expected given the huge difference in budget. They've never really got out of first gear today but still won easily
  14. Pretty confident in saying we'll spend between zero and nothing in the Jan transfer window. A couple of loan deals I reckon (defender and striker) and Bucko recalled. I don't think we've had a good Jan transfer window for as long as I can remember. The only signing of note has been Gestede but that was many years ago.
  15. Madness that Sunderland have sacked Mowbray. He was doing a fantastic job there. I think they'll do a Birmingham now and slip down the league. Sadly Dack's career appears to be over at championship level with this news. I think he'll drop down to lge 1 next season.
  16. We've been poor today and that's an embarrassing result against a league one side. If we'd been anywhere near our normal levels then we would have won easily today.
  17. Poor first half but the game is far from over. Moran, in particular, completely off it today.
  18. Totally agree. Sammie has to play tomorrow, we cannot take anyone for granted in this league. Play our best team and we'll prob win tomorrow. Play our best team against Leeds and there's a good chance we may still lose, so the focus is very much on winning tomorrow.
  19. Big blow to lose Dolan. None of us probably would have been too bothered at the beginning of the season but he's been brilliant recently. Still, I don't think we're weakened at all by Leonard coming in to replace him. All these injuries now could actually be GOOD for us. We usually tank around February because we run out of steam but we'll have load of first team players fit by then who won't have played a huge amount of football in the first half of the season. We cannot afford anymore injuries though as we're then down to teenagers who've never played first team football.
  20. Leonard was brilliant last night. He scored and had an assist, his hold up play was excellent, and his ability on the ball was impressive too. He has all the right attributes to be a top striker for us. Interesting that JDT has decided not to make any subs in the second half of games recently (not counting half time or the 90th minute when we've already won the game). For me, the subs were the reason we lost the game at Preston and why the game has turned against us so late in games this season. The likes of Markanday coming on turn the game in the favour of the opposition. Think that will change when we get some of our injured players back.
  21. Phew! What an effort from the boys. 7th in the league despite a huge injury list and very inexperienced side. Szmodics is the best player in the league right now. Wharton was excellent tonight too. Siggy was very disappointing when he came on though. Why on earth Dembele went to Birmingham, I will never know. He's way too good for them.
  22. A very impressive result. Stoke don't concede many and are tough to beat. They do feel like a club that is going nowhere though and their transfer policy is to sign players past their best. We have a very impressive young team. Incredible that we have so many injuries to our more experienced players yet can still pull off a result like today. Preston losing to two late goals feels very good too after their late win against us 2 weeks ago.
