  1. I'm not sure you can blame the attendances on Waggot. The product on the pitch has not been good enough for a long time for many people to spend their hard earned money on. I firmly blame the owners on that front. I actually don't even think if the tickets were free that we'd even sell out at the moment. It's also a small town with many clubs in the surrounding areas, including a few of the big hitters in world football. Clubs like Ipswich have a big catchment area and little competition.
  2. £2m for Gally then we must take it. Gally out and Phillips and Yates in would be very good business. We're actually on the verge of having a decent window and ending up stronger than at the beginning of the window. Still, we all know no signing is guaranteed until it's announced on the Rovers website. We know that only too well from last Jan.
  3. We are making a good signing! Forgot what that feels like. Did sense that JDT seemed strangely positive in his presser last week about incomings before the deadline.
  4. JDT seems strangely upbeat about incomings before the deadline. Hopefully he's hearing positive signals from GB. The Crewe guy is a good signing.
  5. It's a shame with Ennis. I actually feel like he has a lot of talent but his fitness and motivation look non-existent. He'll do well in Lge 1 though and hopefully we can then sell him in the summer. Need to get rid of all our current strikers in the summer (Leonard out on loan) and start again.
  6. £25m with a sell on % and I'd sell A Wharton. He is a top player but, for me, he's a luxury player and we'd be a far better side if we could invest in the money in buying a good striker, winger and GK. Losing him wouldn't be like losing a 20+ a season goalscorer, for example.
  7. He wouldn't have got in ahead of Hyam, Carter, Hill (before he got recalled), Wharton anyway so it wouldn't have made any difference. I'm firmly of the opinion that personnel is not the problem anyway, the coaching is the problem. Hyam, Carter, Hill are all very good players at this level but they look like very poor players at the moment who can't do the basics well.
  8. This club will be re-born again at some point but not in the near future unfortunately. I can't see Venky's selling and I don't see anyone buying either. Really is a tough situation we are in. But we stick with the club through thick and thin.
  9. Some clubs doing some really good business this window, most notably Hull and Millwall. Meanwhile, we have signed two teenagers on loan and are looking in the bargain basement of the lower leagues of Europe. We are on a very fast trajectory towards league one at the moment. Downgrading the squad every window now and the budget being cut at every turn. Sad times for this great club.
  10. I'm not surprised we're looking at the lower leagues of Europe again for our next attacker. Telalovic has been such a revelation since GB fought off his signature from other clubs to bring him here...
  11. JDT has to go. Sleepwalking to lge 1 at the moment. Lose to QPR next time out, and I think we will, then we're right in relegation trouble.
  12. Chisene looks bang average. Another GB masterstroke in the transfer market.
  13. This is desperately poor. Feel like the players have given up on JDT. A real lack of energy and commitment. I'm sick and tired of JDT's reign now. Need someone else in. Goals against column tells us all he needs to go.
  14. Same old story. Unable to do the basics well. It's been coached out of them imo.
  15. No Leo today so we have a chance! Just a shame it's Pears replacing him but he is an improvement on Leo. Worst GK we've ever had. With a few key players back, I think we will win today.
  16. Juke on an 18 month deal would be good business for us. We need someone who has a presence up front as none of our strikers have that. He'd also help with depending set pieces - we're the worst in the league for corners conceded - and would also mean we can go a bit more direct if plan A is not working. He's miles better than any other strikers we have at the moment.
  17. We need to clear out the deadwood up front. Gally and Ennis can go in Jan. Telalovic, Moran and Siggy can all go in the summer. None of them are very good. Cresswell would be a good signing at the back but I don't think it will solve our defensive problems. We don't have bad defenders at the moment, we have a system that leaves them exposed.
  18. No one panic, we have our two Jan signings who will make a big difference... The club is lifeless this season. I'm bored of this season already and never got excited about it from day 1 in truth given the shambles of the summer transfer window. Another dreadful window so far where we're getting weaker and weaker with every window. We are on a trajectory towards league 1 in 18 months time. We'll just about be OK this season given how bad the bottom 3 are.
  19. They're not bad defenders. They are poorly coached on the defensive side of the game. The focus in training is on passing the ball. We don't work on the basics. If an organiser like Warnock or Allardyce was our manager, neither of whom will be, then I can guarenatee you that the exact same defenders would not be making these kind of mistakes.
  20. JDT has been let down in the transfer market but he's made us so defensively weak and too easy to score against. His philosophy of trying to outscore teams is completely misguided. Time to go now. This season has been an embarrassment so far.
  21. Leo is the worst GK we've ever had. I genuinely can't remember a worse one.
  22. Would be nice if JDT did some work with the team on the defensive side of the game. He has to go for me. Hyam and Carter are two of the best defenders in the league yet they're part of the worst defence in the league.
